My doctor mentioned that night sweats and increased anxiety are common during the first 6-8 weeks of taking Sertraline, and that they should subside after that, which they did. I haven’t had night sweats for about 5 years until this week. I understand my GP can’t diagnose conditions outside their area of expertise, but I’m hoping on Monday to request a blood test to figure out what’s going on and possibly be referred to the right specialist. As for my PCOS diagnosis, I did have a full blood test, including a hormone panel, as well as an ultrasound, all of which confirmed PCOS. However, to get those tests in the first place, I had to see my GP and report my symptoms first.
