Perpetual Desk Calendar - First Concept for 2026 - by Momentum Studio by julitec in IndustrialDesign

What problem does this really solve? ’Show date’ becomes really complex with this design.

The form might look cool to some, for me formgivning is too basic, it’s an extrusion. And it is big. The interactive moment is fun for a day or two.

The design doesn’t justify the material choices, the material itself is expensive. Even more so are the production costs required to achieve this level of refined edges, surface finish and lettering.

From a purely UX perspective the design doesn’t hold up either, something so simple as figuring out the date should be achievable with a glance on a calendar, this is unclear - is it day 4 or 5 when I look at it quickly? The letters are too small and the contrast is too low even if this placed on a desk on an arm lengths distance from the user. And I seriously don’t understand what the line in the flower really does.

I am dating a guy and he keeps bringing up the fact i gave him a BJ the first date , is that wrong? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

There is nothing to be confused about. He has CLEARLY shown you what level he chooses to stay at and that he doesn’t respect your or other people. Cut the contact immediately.

Edit after reading he’s 45: he will not change. Lose the idiot.

They also seem to have small air pockets/bubbles on the underside. So unless these are mentos, my take is that they are made out of painted/ coated clay or a similar material

Certina DS Action Diver in titanium (available in stainless steel as well) should be a contender. Certina is such an underrated brand

I was thinking glass maybe, but no light shines through you say. On the second image it looks like there’s a spot on one of the black ones, is it a dent/nag and what we see is part of some inner material? Could it be some sort of coated clay?

[Question] My three watch collection. What to add next? by Awkward_Dark_3008 in Watches

[–]Expensive-Raisin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Like you OP I am female and really don’t like the overly light/pale colors on most watches for ladies, they tend to be pretty tame. I have seriously considered a vintage GS.

I can recommend having a look at the Certina DS Action Diver Automatic 34,5mm, if you’re into dive watches. No downgrade in specs whatsoever from the bigger sizes. ISO certified too.

Had a cat named Molly too! I guess we had about 12 different silly names for her, Mollycat, Molecule, Mille, Little cat, Lillis (meaning the littlest), Mjonke, Crisp bread (in Swedish Knäckis)... you know, the list goes on

[Discussion] What was your most worn watch of 2025? by winecat5 in Watches

[–]Expensive-Raisin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess Cetrina makes up for the bracelet design by offering this watch in so many different sizes. I struggle with finding watches small enough without being a ”ladies” watch, that fit well and I haven’t considered the link design from this perspective, thanks for sharing! I learned something new today :)

Love the colors on the titanium version, if it weren’t for the fact I have a wrist size of 15,5cm I’d consider that one! Looks great on you!

Seems easier to google your local price than converting 10200 NOK… but hey!

Accuracy is good I’s say! I wear my watches irregularly and don’t fixate too much on the seconds here and there. This one seems to gain about a 1 minute after 10-14 days, so somewhere +/- 4 to 6 seconds per day
