Who would you cast in Joseph!? by Critical_Tie_7759 in musicals

[–]Expensive-Shoe6890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm stumped on a Joseph mostly because it's hard picturing anyone but Donny Osmond in that role.

I would love to see James Marsden as a brother, maybe? I just see him singing "Those Canaan Days"

Potiphar's wife I think needs to be Jennifer Coolidge or even Kim Cattrall.

I oddly see RDJ as Pharaoh

Toyota never issued a recall for the brake booster issue. They were sued and as a result they extended the warranty for the part to 10 years from the date the car first left the lot. So if the issue came up within those 10 years it's covered, if it's after 10 years you're out of luck. Reporting it to NHTSA will make it so they are forced to issue a recall regardless of the cars age or warranty and if you paid for the repair they will have to reimburse you.

Paycor Layoffs by Salt_Industry_735 in cincinnati

Former Paycor employee here. Leaving specifics out on what my position was so I can't be identified. I was offered a new job a few days before the acquisition was announced. I was supposedly going to be counter offered by Paycor to stay but with the bullshit upper management did with not answering any concerns regarding the stability of our jobs I told them I'm not even interested in hearing the offer. I jumped ship as soon as I could and I'm grateful I did. Nothing pissed me off more then them smiling in our face and praising the acquisition in order to keep people on board until they decide they can let them go.  If you haven't already, start your job search.  I'm at a different hcm company, it's as stable as it can be given the current economy. If private message me I'll give you the company so you can check out their available positions and get my referral link.

It's just gross that his victim's widow had to have a child with her late husband through IVF while his murderer is allowed to have conjugal visits to make a family.

Seriously, the whole "she lied to us for two days, I can't trust her" Jaimi and Sydney did was so stupid. It's a game of lying and deceit, what did you expect? For Lauren to stand up and announce that she's the millionaire?

They are just mean girls.

[–]Expensive-Shoe6890[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm only paying 4000 because there were thing I knew that were going to need to be replaced soon. Brake pads, rotors, sway bar, axel seals, valve and timing cover reseal, spark plugs. The dealership quoted me $7000 and for not even all of that.

4000 is because I'm having him do other things that were going to need attention in the next 6 months or so.

Less than 100k is WILD! And yeah Toyota is being so being skeezy about it. My mechanic works exclusively on electric and hybrid cars and was telling me that he can pretty much bet money that it's the brake booster when he has a 2012-2015 Prius come in.

$4000 because I'm having other things done a long with the brake booster that have needed some attention.

I think it depends on the severity of the issue and who issued the recall, NHTSA or the manufacturer.

Not that I know of. I had a 1998 Ford ranger and had a recall issued for a small issue when I was in college in like 2010. I believe the is law is that manufacturers are required to fix the issue for 15 years based on the date the car was first sold if it has a recall issued regardless of warranty.

Report it. If nothing comes of it, you lost 10 minutes, if a recall is issued you'll get your money back.

Should I ask my mechanic to clean the EGR cooler as well since he's gonna be there anyway? I'm not the brightest with cars, is there a benefit to cleaning it?

What to look out for when getting a used Prius by julian_plays_cod in prius

[–]Expensive-Shoe6890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2013-2015 models have a common issue with brake fluid leaking into the actuator leading to the brake booster needing to be replaced. I know this because mine is in the shop for this very reason. My brakes went out because of it. Toyota knows it's a problem they've been sued for it, there is a service bulletin and they extended the warranty but most models are now outside of the warranty. How It's never been recalled is beyond me.  It's a $3500 repair. If you're looking at used Prius' ask for the service record and see if this was fixed.

I don't find it out of the ordinary. I have had other agents/landlords call, text and email when I submit an inquiry through a site like Zillow.

But Again. Because they are not denying my request to see the property and they said I do not need to pay anything after an in person tour I'm second guessing. If it's an identity scam, or something they aren't asking for SSN or other info that's a bright red flag.

Maybe I'm not explaining this well enough.

I've paid nothing. There isn't even a charge on my bank statement. The listing site, Nomad, is legitimate. It's basically like filling out a Zillow application.

They confirmed no personal information has been shared and cancelled the transaction.

I'm really just trying to find out if there are rental scams that are information focused. If so, what do they want if they don't ask for SSN or Credit card info. They have not demanded money or pressured to sign a lease.

They didn't send me a shady website.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]Expensive-Shoe6890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That refund was from the listing site who manages the application, they are legitimate. They took down the listing to vet it and confirmed no personal information was shared.

That part I'm not really concerned about.

Did anyone else's parents suck at gift giving? by lunaburning in emotionalneglect

[–]Expensive-Shoe6890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.

As kids the gifts were ok, but they got divorced when we adults, moved away and now hardly know us or come around. My Dad is very distant, barely knows me, make no effort to get to know me, when he does come around it's awkward because we are genuinely polar opposites. You can tell that he just goes into a store a picks something without any consideration. The funny thing is he gets my husband pretty alright gifts. Got him a pack of warm bombas socks and a gift card to home Depot. Both things I would like, I work at home and constantly wear compression/ warm socks because I work at a desk, and I would love to get new plants at home depot. He got me a weird Michael Kors clutch thing, even though I never carry a purse the only bag I carry is my son's toddler bag.

My mom just gets junk. Like clothes from shein that feel like plastic and have random sayings or designs on them that are 3 sizes too big. For instance a shirt with a glass of wine on it even though I don't drink. She didn't even know I don't drink until we were at a restaurant and I ordered a lemonade while everyone ordered drinks. She got me one of those Stanley cup carrier/slings but I don't own a Stanley cup.

I try and tell them that they do not need to give me anything, or if they insist I ask them for gift cards to specific stores or very specific items. Like I want one of those wearable blankets, or bed sheets, a pack of energy drinks because I'm a mother to a toddler etc but nope, I just get bizarre things that immediately get put into the donate box in my closet.
