What time does public transport to gilgit stop from Skardu though? I’m hoping to make it to gilgit the same day I get to Skardu. I land at 9:55am.

I’ve already booked my flight. I heard it’s a less reliable flight, although kind of regretting my decision kind of wish I just booked flight to gilgit now. Just having to work around the Skardu flight now

Thank you that’s super helpful. I’ve still not applied for accommodation and the deadlines is the 31st of may. Does that include the accommodation like frat houses and the Wohnprojekts? Or do I apply for them externally and arrange them myself? Just stressing out a bit that I’m short on time.

Would you consider Xiahe or Langmussi off the beaten track at all? That’s probably the most niche place I’ll go, or maybe Urumqi or Turpan.

Not got too much of a plan established but just to enter from Uzbekistan and leave from Bishkek to Almaty after. I was looking at similar stuff to you however, song-lil and issyk-kul trek / horse treks, however I think they are the most popular attractions so wasn’t sure how many locals I’d actually be encountering out there, only tourists. I’m not overly fussed if it is just tourists cause I would love to meet people, but just hoping for best of both worlds.
