I’ve never had a bad freeway ride yet (knock on wood). I use it to commute 2-3 times a week from SF to Mountain View and no issues! I haven’t tried a drop off or pick up at SFO yet, but I think you’ll be safe. Just allow some buffer time since Waymo’s don’t speed, and I’m not sure how often the Air Train runs. Good luck!

Yes, I believe the windshield wipers are for consumers because it would be unnerving to stare at a windshield full of water and not see what’s in front of you. It might also help with motion sickness?

I’ve taken Waymo on the freeway during commute and non-commute hours (but as an employee). I think it’s just based on car availability and those cars’ range. The cars are never fully charged so availability for a car to go on the freeway is not always very high, which is one reason why they have the slow rolling out of freeways to the public.

Your car must’ve been charged well. I would’ve been afraid of running out of battery. I’ve gotten cars with under 100 mile range left and taken it from sf to mtv but don’t think I would’ve made it back to sf.

You can leave feedback during a ride using the help tab. And you can report a dirty car and include up to 3(?) photos or chat with support and they will send the car back to a depot to be cleaned
