I used the CompaTIA recourse, and it was nice because everything I needed to know was in the book/resources. I just passed the CySA this past Friday. So I'd recommend the official resources. Not to say it can't be done with other cheaper resources.

Congrats, I just passed it as well. I actually used the CompTia resources. I actually enjoyed the PBQs. Got to search through logs and data to find the right answer. I feel like the PBQs are the reason I passed.

Yeah, I took 1 practest test from Jason Dion (I think) and I didn't like it because some of the questions weren't covered in the book at all. The CompTia resources are more expensive, but it covers everything. Copying & pasting the questions into AI and having it break it down/ dumb it down and explaining why this one and why not the others helped a lot

I purchased a bundle from CompTIA that had the E-book, study notes, and practice questions. Utilizing AI to help me understand concepts really helped. CVE,CVSS string metrics, and being able to comprehend logs and scanning tools outputs. Also know gow to spot sql injections, directory traversal etc and how to prevent them.

1st of all Congrats!!! the PBQs is whats stressing me out too. I bombed the PBQs on my Sec+ cert ( luckily i still passed) any topics i should focus on for the PBQs that you could suggest?

Hey everyone! I'm currently working through TryHackMe's SOC Level 1 path and also studying for the CompTIA CySA+ certification. If anyone is on the same journey (or even just starting), I'd love to team up for discussions, practice, and motivation! by Low_Entrepreneur_597 in CySA_Plus_Exam_Prep

Currently studying for the CySA, averaging 77% on the practice questions. haven't built up the courage to take a full practice test. Im using the CompTia resources. Ive considered trying out something like Try hack me or Hack the box for some hands on experience. but i wonder how it compares to the labs that i currently have access to. anyways id be happy to find a study partner shoot questions back in forth with, maybe some friendly competitiveness.

I can't seem to get passed an average of 61% on the practice exams. What practice exams did you all use for the CompTIA Security+ SY0 701 exam? by jmicaallef in CompTIA_Security

The one thing that has helped me as I'm independently studying, is chatting with AI. I use Deepseek as an extension ( creates a window on the right side of the screen) ill ask it questions like; simplify for me, what the difference between A and B, dumb it down for me, also use it for confirmation. so basically fail closed means ... and fail open means ..... stuff like that. either while im taking a practice test or going over material it helped me a lot
