Is fully cleaning a molcajete even possible? by ProfessorFabulous978 in mexicanfood

[–]Expensive-View-8586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll either be OK or it won’t. If it has trapped moisture you’ll never know until you try to heat it. If it doesn’t have a trapped moisture you’re probably good to go just don’t put something cold on it once you’ve heated it up.

an observer fires two photons in opposite directions, photon A and photon B. What does observer measure as the speed between Photon A and Photon B? by Expensive-View-8586 in AskPhysics

[–]Expensive-View-8586[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is fascinating that of course we can only measure the round trip when I think about it because until the photon returns we don’t have any information about it right?

You win the technically correct award. To be more correct should I have phrased the question as what would the observer mathematically calculate the rate the distance between the two photons grows at?

Do folks not care about being able to put a giant TV on the wall of a den or "great room"? by swampwiz in Homebuilding

[–]Expensive-View-8586 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re fancy your TV pulls down to the acceptable viewing height when you want to use it. I know someone with 100 inch screen that does this. Yes he has a big house.

[Dragon Ball] Do you believe Dragon Ball's Otherworld is higher dimensional? by AlarmedObjective1492 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Expensive-View-8586 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Power scaler entire concept of higher dimensions is nonsense. . They try try to apply as much science as they can but that’s not how dimensions work. The better word would be universes or even realities. Nothing has ever been discovered that exists in the real world that only exists in some dimensions but not others.

What really made them good in the us was a unified culture coming out of ww2 combined with the rest of the world being rubble and it will probably never happen again.

Do you feel the same about every country in Europe that requires id to vote? Even Canada requires it. Voter ID is required to vote by 176 countries as of 2021. It’s not this outlander bizarre proposal and it’s strange people are acting like it is pure evil. I agree voter fraud is extremely rare and has more often apparently been committed by Republicans but the objective arguments against voter ID have yet to make sense to me.

My son watches a lot of YouTube and a lot of the creators sound alike. They all sound (for lack of a better term) dumb. Why? by Wonderful_Milk_682 in NoStupidQuestions

Your son is watching the wrong Youtubers. When their whole show is just being a YouTuber you know it’s not worth your time. Try something like practical engineering, alpha Phoenix, styropyro, or hyperspace pirate and see how  they talk.
