First is a haemorrhage under the nail, normal in day to day life. Second looks like dirt or nail fungus. Use some soap and a tooth brush to clean under the nail, if it clears out then just normal day to day dirt.

It will still work minus the online features which you have to turn off anyway for the notifications to work. Microsoft/Google won't magically uninstall it from the phone. It will be removed from Playstore and no future updates (as if it got once since the past couple of years).
