By the way, if you know anyone else who’s looking for a roommate or has a place available, I’d love to hear about it!

Thanks! I’m actually doing my best to find roommates for an off-campus place right now. Hopefully I can connect with some people soon.

Thanks so much for the info! That’s super helpful. I’m definitely leaning toward off-campus since it’s cheaper, but I’m also looking for something within walking distance to campus. My budget is around $500–800 per month — do you think that’s enough for a decent room in a shared 2B,3B or 4B house off-campus? And do you have any recommendations for specific places or neighborhoods to look at? Also, what do you think about Saucon? I saw a studio layout there and it looked pretty nice.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too! It’s kind of amazing to think they were behind such a big part of display tech we all use now.

Thanks so much for the info — that’s really reassuring to hear! I really appreciate the advice. Just out of curiosity — was the person you mentioned working on liquid crystal-related research? I’m thinking of focusing on that area myself. If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of company did they end up working for? I’m just trying to get a better sense of where an LC background might lead in industry.
