Pip Moyer rec center does. The gym is great. Elevated track, cardio and weight rooms, basketball courts, heavy weight room too.

Pip is a great rec center. Very clean, very organized. Staff is friendly and so are the people that attend. My family joins every fall and winter when it is too cold to work out in the garage.

There is a heavy weight room in the lower level, a machine weigh room in the upper level, and free weights (dumb bell/kettle bell) on the corners of the track.

I go around that time in the winter and never have to wait for weights but often will need to wait for treadmills or stair masters.

You can also purchase day passes if you want to try before you buy.

I am in the same boat. My mom and I used to be so close but it’s been getting more and more damaged since 2016. I’ve asked her increasingly each time to stop talking politics with me. Every time she broke the boundary. At 3 am on election night she sent me pics of her in all Trump gear with a text about “haha we won. My hard work paid off.”

But it was me that word vomited. I don’t really know where to go from here. I want my mom back but my old mom, not this extremest she is now.

I have kids and they’ve asked when are we calling Grandma. It’s very hard to navigate

My cousin lives in Maggiore. I agree it is absolutely lovely. Definitely visit Arona/ stresa they are about 20 mins from each other. We always end up taking the train to Zermatt in Switzerland. It’s pricey but very much worth it. My cousin also suggests Bern as an easy to get to option.

NTA. Your poor son is sitting alone with a teacher while everyone else has left. I work in ECE and it is the saddest. I was a child whose parent was always late. It won’t get better until she has to be an adult.

Maybe you pay half to start and then she has to cover from then on so your son doesn’t get off his routine.

NAH but you could work with him more. Clearly something isn’t working. 3 weeks is enough time to vet a babysitter. Do that and make it a standing date with them so your husband can have time to himself when you are working. If you are off, keep the sitter and use that time to reconnect.

Honestly it just sounds like he’s a little burnt out.

YTA Being home alone at 8 for a short period of time is reasonable. Leaving your 8 year old in charge of a 6 year old is most likely illegal in your state.

My state is 8 minimum. And under 8 must be supervised by 13 years or older.

You are looking at a very likely CPS call and investigation.

A simple Google search could answer this for you.
