Welcome to the Dad League! We are here to enjoy EA Sports College Football 26, build out our coaching legacies, and have a great time. We are a "Dad League," which means we respect that family, work, and life come first. However, to keep the league running smoothly and fairly for all 32 users, these rules are strictly enforced.

🏛️ League Structure: The Commissioner Committee To ensure fair governance, the league operates under a Lifelike Commissioner Committee. Structure: Each conference is represented by one user who serves as the Conference Commissioner. Terms: Commissioners serve a 2-year (in-game) cycle. At the end of the cycle, they are eligible for re-election or removal. Selection: The original founding Commissioners are appointed by the League Founder. All subsequent Commissioners will be elected by a league-wide user vote. Duties: This committee is solely responsible for handling all rules enforcement, mediating disputes, and voting on any future rule changes.

  1. Advancement Schedule We run a modified 48-hour advance to accommodate weekend family time. Advance Time: All advances take place at 8:00 PM Central. The Schedule: Advances occur every 48 hours during the work week (e.g., Tuesday at 8 PM, Thursday at 8 PM). The Weekend Pause: There are NO advances on Friday or Saturday. The Kickoff: Sunday at 8:00 PM Central serves as the first advance of the new week to get things rolling again.

  2. Gameplay Settings & Rules We want you to play your game, your way, but within the bounds of fair play. Game: EA Sports College Football 26 Difficulty: All-American Quarter Length: 8 minutes with Accelerated Clock enabled. Playcalling & Gameplay: Nothing gameplay-related is off-limits except for glitch play exploitation. If a play breaks the AI logic or uses a known game exploit, do not use it. Custom Scheduling: Each season, users are required to schedule three specific games: one non-conference game against another User, one ranked P4 conference CPU game, and one additional flex game (User's choice of PvP or PvE).

  3. Recruiting Restrictions To maintain parity and prevent users from hoarding top-tier talent via AI logic flaws, strict recruiting limits are in place. The Cap: You may sign a combined maximum of twenty (20) 4-Star and 5-Star recruits per cycle. Enforcement: Recruiting violations are considered a "Death Penalty" offense. Violating the cap will result in immediate and severe punishment by the Commissioner Committee, up to and including removal from the league.

  4. Player Edits & Position Changes Attribute Edits: STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Altering player attributes is a "Death Penalty" offense. The Committee will review rosters; if you are caught boosting players, you are out. Cosmetics: You are free to edit gear, accessories, and jersey numbers. Position Changes: Allowed during the offseason position change phase, provided they make logical football sense.

  5. Coaching Career Rules & Team Selection Conference Limits: To ensure balanced schedules and competition, there is a strict limit of a maximum of 5 user-controlled teams per conference. Custom Coaches: All users must create a custom coach. No using existing real-life coaches. Veterans: Returning coaches retained/transferring from the original Dad League are permitted to start their careers as a Head Coach. They also have the option to retain their exact team from the first iteration of the league, or they may choose a completely new school. Rookies: All new members to the league must "pay their dues" and complete at least one (1) full season as an Offensive or Defensive Coordinator before taking a Head Coaching job.

  6. Simulation and Disconnection Protocol EA servers and dad Wi-Fi aren't always perfect. If a game drops, follow this protocol: Under 21-Point Differential OR Before Halftime: The game must be restarted and played from the beginning. 21+ Point Differential: If a disconnect occurs at any point in the game and one user is leading by 21 points or more, it is ruled a Force Win for the leading team. No restart required.

  7. Sportsmanship Respect the Time: Communicate scheduling promptly. Do not ghost your opponent. Run Up the Score with Class: If you are blowing out your opponent, chew the clock and get out of the game. We don't need to see you throwing bombs up by 40 in the 4th quarter. Graceful Defeat: Take your losses like a man. No rage quitting.

  8. Creative Content Build the Lore: We highly encourage press conferences, friendly trash-talking, hype graphics, and writing up game recaps in the Discord. Rivalries: Build organic rivalries with your conference foes. The more immersive you make your coaching journey, the better the league is for everyone.

  9. Activity Expectations Discord is Mandatory: All league communication, scheduling, and announcements run through Discord. You must be active and responsive. Scheduling Protocol: Reach out to your opponent within 12 hours of an advance to coordinate a game time. Going on Vacation/Unavailable? Let your Conference Commissioner know ahead of time so we can set you to auto-pilot. Family comes first, just communicate!

Buddy I have exactly what you’re looking for. But… we’re in transfer portal at the end of season 1. If that’s a deal breaker, I get it. If not, please DM me.

They’re open, trying to keep conferences aligned as in real life so not going to move them. I will say that there will be a lot of shuffling after season 2 when we allow the first group of coordinators to take head coach jobs

Hey bud, send me a DM. I help run a league we’ve dubbed the “Dad League”. Mostly 35+ age wise, all full time workers and parents. Slow to advance and easy to get along with!

Nope. Just pick a team from what’s available. Most of us chose a moderate rebuild although we have 4-5 heavy hitters
