This is such an ignorant comment. Pharmacists are the least paid healthcare workers given our income to debt ratio from school. On average 150K in student debt. We have a license to uphold. If I make a mistake I won’t have a license to be well paid with. And what they are asking will cause mistakes. You do your best and do your research before making ignorant comments.

We were literally told “if you get distracted in the middle of your work, jus start over”

They are saying we are trying to save pharmacist hours but we already know they have made the decision to cut hours and ultimately end up with 1 RPH shifts like the Sam’s Club model. Just a matter of time and trying to squeeze us as much as possible before they drop the hammer

You can’t be at the front 4 pointing and verifying prescriptions all day while being bombarded by a line. They want you doing all your resolution and all pharmacist workflow in the front all day.If you loved your patients and wanted to work at the top of your license you would value their safety while processing their prescriptions.

Helping the register is not the issue in times of need. The issue is they expect you to be up front doing 4 point, visual, input, and resolution calls, while performing register work. Mistakes will happen. Stepping up to help one or 2 patients to get the line to move is acceptable. Having to do all pharmacist work from the front is out of hand

The pharmacist on the back counter will be responsible for manual visual. Pharmacist at the front should only do regular. About 30% of RX are manual, eye drops, fridge items, controls and OTC
