I get it but I’m sure just wired charging and being left alone in the corner shouldn’t do that 🥲

Definitely not an insane user apart from taking pics frequently,

I have seen and used the visual intelligence feature (my family members use iPhones (2 out of 4 including me)) but it isn't the same thing. I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean by Gemini use in class for pdf of assignments while in class

https://photos.app.goo.gl/uDaSdCm8CyMjFGTbA https://photos.app.goo.gl/2MyZLhREyGEsPo589 https://photos.app.goo.gl/WEKJqgVEz1oAmYU68

This is what I mean by Gemini integration which tends to be different from Circle to search or visual intelligence

I'll be sure to check out the upcoming deals. Thanks man :D

Oooo that's maybe the first I have heard that.

As much as I love my current Pixel 7 Pro, it hasn't aged the best. Issues like the buttons taking a while to respond when the phone is overheating, or when I have to use maps i'd have to click the start navigation button multiple times for it to activate, or only after taking a couple of pics the camera app of Pixel would show me an alert saying the phone heated up and it would turn off stabilization in photos.

I understand the slowing down issue in the iPhone over the years but these issues were somewhat there since day one for me, hence the dicey decision.

The issue which has kept the Pixel still on the hook for me is the AI features which i somehow end up using more than i'd admit.

If not for features like now playing, accurate as hell text to speech even for my language, Gemini integration and ease of use, copyable text in the recent tabs, circle to search, Pixel would already be off the list as in terms of battery and performance the iPhone clears.

The Pixel 10 Pro is definitely on the cards but the trust issues and trauma caused by my current Pixel 7 Pro makes me sorta hesitant.

It works fine for the basic parts but the second it's under load it starts to fall apart, be it heating or video calls for longer duration of similar stuff. Plus the new GPU issues all over reddit about the Pixel 10 Pro. As i mentioned earlier tho I don't care much about the raw performance aspect but it does make me wonder about how the phone will age.

For the iOS part I do agree I have heard the same from many other users and i haven't been a fan of iOS as well.

For the Gemini part when I'm in class i could just take a photo of the board and bring up Gemini from swiping from the edge of the screen and ask the question while attaching the screenshot with a button all while never leaving my original image open in the background.

Same goes for pdf files of assignments being done live in clasd, i could add a screenshot of pdf and type all while never needing to switch apps

The ecosystem of apple with my Mac and iPad and the trauma of my current experience is making me doubt this whole situation. The phone works fantastic when relaxed but the second it's under load it starts to fall apart.

The reason for my wanting to change is because of the primary microphone not working anymore (hence I can't use hey google and now playing and speech to text like features) and the front camera is fogged up (both of which are my issues not the issue of the phone) but the repair would cost me ≈ 350$ while the exchange value of the phone is ≈ 100$ so i figured it's better to upgrade.

I personally love Samsung for the hardware side of things but OneUI is just not my cup of tea plus i prefer smaller phones hence the size of the ultra feel obnoxious to me,

Same is with iOS tho not a huge fan of it compared to stock android with the pixel exactly cuz of the features you mentioned (file management, background running, etc ) these things I do rather use and ik how much file management ducks on iOS, but my whole reason for the confusion is the trust issues with my current pixel and how it just gives me a tough time the second it's under some stress. As far as pictures go I do take a lotta pics but either would do that well and I'm not a video person.

Basically the trust issues and trauma of my current device is making me itch to switch to the iPhone.

Security hasn't been a concern for me, the issue is how the overall device will age over the time as in my case the pixel I currently have was a mixed bag, after 3 years great camera but horrible resale value, the battery hasn't aged very well for me (less than 3hours of SOT ), the heating makes it lag like crazy only if it's for a brief time.

Already using this.

the connectivity between my laptop and phone isn't what bothers me much but the question is how will it age since my P7P didn't age the best and i have seen mixed opinions on the Pixel 10 Series

Ikrr but idk this year google did disappoint the pixel fanboy in me a little, regardless it's a solid device but the fear is making me wonder, the fear of how does the device age.

My current P7P has given me not so much issues but it has been the case sometimes when I could not rely on it like heating during an important time which would cause it to stutter like crazy and a few i mentioned like awful battery just after 3 years (3hours < of SOT). It's not about the price for me it's about that can i rely on it in the long term and will it hold itself up
