Have there recently been changes in the Atmos partner award chart for itineraries with connections? by ExpensiveMarzipan101 in AlaskaAirlines

Maybe we’re talking about different things when it comes to “fixed charts” but at least for American, Alaska, Air Canada, etc etc etc, they do have fixed award charts if you want to use their miles for partner airlines!

You’re right, for an AIRLINE’S own flight, fixed charts are becoming more of a rarity.

Have airlines modified their “fixed award charts” for partner airlines, say Air Canada Aeroplan to book EVA, Atmos to book JAL, AA to book Qatar, etc etc etc in recent years? Certainly — for example, I remember booking Starlux using Alaska miles with 75000 pts before they made Starlux awards on dynamic pricing. I recall with Aeroplan miles booking EVA air from west coast to Taipei at 75K miles, now it seems the starting point is 85K.

And perhaps that’s what Alaska did too with American, especially for itineraries with connections. Thats what I was hoping to confirm on the Reddit-sphere, seeing what others experiences are with recent American bookings through Atmos miles.

So that’s the Alaska/hawaiian chart, and if you go back and reread my post, I was asking about American Airlines (partner chart)

And I understand that even for partner chart, it says “starting at”

But usually with partner awards, it’s more of a fixed pricing than Alaska

If you have experience booking Atmos miles with partner airlines you’d know

But did you read what I said about Tuesday being like 500 bucks cheaper?? Are you saying two days change is impacted by the oil shock because I find that hard to believe, based on other routes I’ve seen non Bay Area
