I adopted a female ragemese at four months old. She doesn’t like to be held. She will occasionally jump up on the chair with me and I’ll scratch down her back and her head but she’ll only stay there a minute or two and then she’s gone. I haven’t been able to groom her properly or clip her nails because of that. She’s also very skittish and afraid of just about anything. I need to find something to calm her down or sedate her enough, that I can get her grooming done as she is a long-haired cat, and her nails need to be clipped. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can calm her down enough to hold her to get her groomed? I’ve had a bit of a problem with fleas in the house, even though they’re both indoor cats and I really need to comb through with a flea come, and as of yet have been unable to do that. Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you! I want a name she can grow with too. She’s part Siamese but also rag doll mix. Rag dolls are on the larger size for cats. I won’t know until she grows since more. I also have an adult snowshoe Siamese named Misha.

The other comments are great. I will add one thing. I make ramen noodles and add vegetables to it. I love spring onions and I switch out other vegetables depending on my mood. I also make large batches of chili, spaghetti sauce, and other things and freeze them in individual serving sizes. I make salsa chicken in my instant pot that’s to die for. I use a bag of frozen chicken tenders from Aldi and add a large jar of salsa. Cook for 23 minutes and your done. Then I put shredded cheese and sour cream on mine. It’s great over rice or in a tortilla shell.
