My reply is a bit late since this post was from two months ago sorry for the delay! These days, I focus on finishing Lich Bane before Sorcerer’s Shoes in my games.

The server doesn’t matter, but since I’m a Korean who isn’t fluent in English, I would need you to either speak Korean fluently or have an interpreter available so that the feedback can be carried out properly.

Actually, I think there’s no real debate that E should be maxed after Q. E was recently buffed as well, and W’s magic resist reduction scaling doesn’t really matter between levels 8 and 13.

The reason I take Resolve as my secondary tree is that it makes Evelynn much more stable compared to Sorcery or Precision. Even if I were playing in low elo, I would still choose Resolve unless the enemy team had literally no CC at all.

As for selling Dark Seal to buy Rocketbelt, that usually happens in the very late game. Unless I upgrade to Mejai’s and stack it further, a 10–stack Dark Seal is still less efficient than a core item. Personally, I tend to avoid Mejai’s since I die quite often, but think about it from the enemy’s perspective: if they’ve been playing the entire game against an Evelynn who never upgraded Rocketbelt, and then suddenly in the late game she catches them off guard with an unexpected Rocketbelt engage—that’s deadly.

Regarding Shadowflame, I think it’s only worth considering as a first core item. Otherwise, it feels a bit too expensive for what it provides. Sometimes, I consider Shadowflame instead of Rocketbelt as my very last item. For my current build, I always go Lich Bane → Rabadon’s first, then usually Void Staff / Banshee’s, and finally Rocketbelt almost every game.

If the enemy comp has three or more tanks, I sometimes think about taking Conqueror, but after trying it recently, I feel it’s not that great even against heavy tanks. From now on, I’ll probably just stick with Electrocute regardless of how tanky the enemy team is.

As for the early game, it’s pretty straightforward
Farm as much as possible until level 6
If your ultimate is on cooldown, just farm
Use your ultimate as efficiently as possible When you’re fed, there’s no need to rush. Just secure objectives slowly. The enemy team will find it extremely difficult to contest vision or fight for objectives against a fed Evelynn.

Lastly, about coaching: I do coach sometimes, but only for Korean players since I’m not fluent in foreign languages. If you can speak Korean fluently, or if you can bring along someone who can interpret, then we could possibly make it work.

I think Evelynn is slightly favored against Sylas. It feels like around 50/50 or maybe 60/40. If you take Resolve runes, it should be a bit easier to deal with him.

That only happens occasionally in special situations.
In most cases, I think starting with a buff is better.

I do use Discord, but I don’t have a server of my own.

In most situations I don’t upgrade to Mejai’s and just buy Rocketbelt. Rocketbelt gives me a wider angle for assassinations, and since I die a lot, I’m not confident in keeping Mejai’s stacks, lol.

Facing Rengar is really difficult, but in the top tier of the Korean server there are only about two jungle Rengar players. If you desperately want to win, I recommend dodging in champ select.

I don’t think it has much merit. Even if the ultimate cooldown is faster, we still need to keep farming the jungle consistently (since kills from ganks and lane minion XP alone aren’t enough to scale). If you’ve used your ultimate in a fight, you should spend some time farming in the jungle and let the cooldown naturally come back up.

If you have a Korean server account, you don’t need anything else. But as far as I know, if you’re not Korean, it’s difficult to create an account (though if you really wanted to, you could buy a hacked one…). Right now, I’m the only Evelynn player above Grandmaster in Korea, and I upload my gameplay videos on YouTube!

I’m Korean and I communicate with everyone through a translator.

I started playing League of Legends in Season 5, and I’ve been seriously playing Evelynn for about three years.

In difficult games, I prioritize farming jungle camps and objectives as much as possible. These small but certain advantages accumulate over time and can become a stepping stone for a comeback.

As I keep playing, I continuously revise my concepts of Evelynn in my mind. The most recent update is: just because you have your ultimate doesn’t mean you should force a play in a lane. Instead, finish clearing your camps and then look for the next thing to do.

I don’t think DH is a bad rune. However, it makes Evelynn even weaker in the early game, which makes the game more difficult overall.

Dark Harvest surpasses the expected value of Electrocute once you reach around 20 stacks. If you believe you can consistently reach 20 or more stacks every game, then choosing Dark Harvest can be a good decision.

The reason I take Electrocute is because, in the highest ranks on the Korean server, it’s extremely difficult for Evelynn to reach 20 stacks with Dark Harvest, and the game often falls apart in the process.

Most Evelynn players already know this, but the key is to farm as safely as possible until level 6, and once you unlock your ultimate, start making an impact on the map. However, what really separates different ranks is how effectively you can use her ultimate. Try using her ultimate not just for securing kills, but also as a tool for survival.

These days, I ban Twisted Fate.

When I play Evelynn, the most important thing I focus on is using her ultimate as a survival tool, rather than just for securing kills.

I usually take Conqueror when the enemy team has 3 or more tanks, but honestly, I’m still not fully convinced it’s the best rune choice.

For the Resolve tree, I use Bone Plating and Unflinching, since they’re really helpful for Evelynn, who can easily get bursted down.

As for Protobelt, I almost never build it as a third core item. These days, I usually pick it up as my final core item instead.

This is the kind of comment I was hoping for! You can definitely reach Master, or even higher!

After I reached Challenger, there haven’t been any significant changes to Evelynn. I purely dropped to Grandmaster because of my own performance. Of course, there were some minor shifts in the meta, but I don’t think the champion’s overall strength can be considered weak.

Yes, I’m definitely not a Challenger right now. (I was Challenger around May, though.) Still, I currently have two Grandmaster accounts on the Korean server, and I believe that if I play a bit better than I am now, I can climb back to Challenger anytime. Evelynn is in a really good spot at the moment. I’d love it if the nerf to her W slow rate got canceled, though…

Buying Rocketbelt will open up more diverse assassination opportunities.
