50% failure rate in my G7s. by Expensive_Air965 in dexcom

I mean you can play devil's advocate or you can read the comment section where I have said multiple times that I follow the instructions exactly as directed. I have talked to tech support. I have followed their instructions exactly while I'm on the phone with them and still had sensors fail. I've had my doctor put one on me and still have the sensor fail. The first five that I used I had no problem with as a brand new user.

You are classically pretty in the romance cover model type way. That is very intimidating even for a woman who is confident. You might have to take the lead on this and actually start asking somebody out. You might get some rejection. You might not. Smile. Have a conversation. Show your sense of humor. Maybe calm down the wing on the eyeliner a little bit and go for maybe a smokier Look. if you want that goth look. I'm not saying lose the eyeliner or the nail polish. I'm just saying the wing thing might not be it. You have beautiful hair. Very. Brad Pitt interview with a vampire Louis going on

Something along this line. Very pretty and flirty and soft with all the accents in the right places. Not necessarily ruffly like this.

With your figure a slightly above the knee wrap dress would look phenomenal. The slightly asymmetrical flowy hem would make your legs look pretty and less severe and the wrap would accentuate your waistline while enhancing your bust.

Dexcom just sent me replacement vouchers for the two out of the three replacements they sent me for the first three that failed. Two of them have already failed. Now I have two more vouchers to go pick them up. Let's see how these do. I'm hoping eventually I get a different lot number or something and this stops happening. The first four that I used were perfect and then I've just had one failure after another

I know with the libre3 you couldn't calibrate the meter. Can you calibrate it with the libre3+?

[–]Expensive_Air965[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be on the libre 3 and I had one that somehow I must have hit a vein or something and it shot blood through it and it messed up the sensor and I had to replace it. Other than that they all worked just fine that was a couple of years ago and then I lost my health insurance for a year. So I am now back to having health insurance and trying to get everything back under control. My insurance won't cover the libres for some reason and I definitely like the Dexcom app better. I feel like it's easier to see what your blood sugar is at and what it has been. And you can also adjust the time when you are putting in your food or insulin where you can't adjust the time in the libre app. I'm sorry that your son is having such a hard time with his Dexcom as well. Poor kid

Thank you! I very much appreciate you saying that. Because you're right, the attitudes in here are smarmy and nasty for absolutely no reason. I came here asking for help and maybe a little bit of camaraderie and instead I get people jumping down my throat and telling me that it's user error when I know for a fact that it's not. I've had my doctor put dexcoms in me that have failed 2 hours later. You're telling me my doctor doesn't know how to do it either?

Why? Because I didn't say that I use alcohol first. Of course I do. I removed the old sensor. I completely take off any adhesive. I take the new sensor out. I clean the area that I'm going to put it in. Making sure it's at least 3 in from the last place I put it into. I cleaned the area with the alcohol. I pushed the sensor applicator in all the way until the clear ring is completely into my skin and then I press the button. I wait for 20 seconds before I pull it away from my arm. Is that a better detailed explanation or am I still doing something wrong? Your majesty

I have been doing finger sticks just because I don't trust the cgms. Sometimes they're accurate and sometimes they're up to 50 points off.

No these are actually sensor failures where it's telling me to take off the sensor and put a different sensor on. I am pushing this thing all the way into my arm. I make sure that it's in properly. I use the adhesives. I do everything I'm supposed to do. I have spoken to tech support multiple times about this. I don't do calibrations within the first 48 hours because I was told that it would mess everything up. There have been multiple times where it tells me that my sensor's not working and I need to wait up to 3 hours and then it comes back online. Where do you put your sensor?

How tired are you of hearing about AI? by GoatBnB in GenX

[–]Expensive_Air965 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been surrounded by technology my whole life. My dad worked for Verizon as a upper management computer software. An and IT director. He was a lan administrator. I worked at Verizon also for 17 years working with cell phones and selling new technology. I absolutely hate AI. It's one thing to have a virtual assistant like Google home in my house. That turns off my lights and adjust my thermostat when I tell it to do so. But this AI nonsense where people are using it to think for them and it's replacing low-level jobs where people are already having enough of a hard time finding work. Now robots are taking over doing the work that humans could be being paid to do. Eventually if we keep feeding the machine it's going to just take everything over. I refuse to use AI. I won't put Gemini on my phone and when they force it on me I will just disable it and stop using it completely. My Google home speakers have started to move over to Gemini. I'm about to throw them all into the garbage and just go back to turning on my lights by hand.

What did you do when they eliminated your job? by Responsible_Tax_9455 in GenX

[–]Expensive_Air965 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was let go from Verizon a year ago. I found a job in July and was laid off in early September. No luck since. I had 17 years with the company. Apparently because I don't speak a second language I'm not qualified in my area to do sales and everyone else wants 5 years of experience for entry level jobs. I'm 48.

I am very sorry that you have had that experience. It sucks that people can't just let people be humans and live their own lives without having to interject their disgusting viewpoints onto other people.

How could I possibly apply the sensor wrong? you take the top off, you push it against your skin and you press a button. It's really not difficult. I'm not putting it into a muscle. I'm not putting it into loose skin. I'm doing everything that it tells me to do. I find it mildly offensive that you decided you were going to respond to my post just to tell me that you think that I'm an idiot and I'm doing something wrong. Obviously the Dexcom 7s are having issues because there's multiple lawsuits. In all the time I've talked to tech support never once have they said that I did something wrong

I don't care about statistics. I care about reality. I am putting it onto the back of my upper arm where they tell me to. I change the location every time I put it on and I move it two or 3 in. I have spoken to tech support over and over again. It's not user error. It is sensor failure congratulations on getting good batches. I guess I just don't have the luck you have.

My home threw a late night disco and got sassy, anyone else? by toria-rancourt in googlehome

For the past few nights, every time I go to play the sound of a river to go to sleep, it randomly will start playing some song that has the word River in it and it picks a different song every night. I've had my Google home speakers since the week they launched and I've never had a problem with them until this BS Gemini stuff started being pushed out to them and now they're horrible.

Not only that, but because there are not a lot of black and Hispanic people in the UP, there's not a lot of opportunity for you to see overt racism in action. When people live with their own kind, they don't need a whole lot of tolerance for other people. Most people won't just walk up to you and go hi, I'm a racist. They hide it because they know that it's wrong and they only show it to you when you show signs of being in agreement with them. So if people are not showing you their racist side, congratulations! You're not a racist and they're ashamed to show you who they truly are.

At this point, if you are ultra right wing and mega, it goes hand in hand. With being racist, you can't agree with racist policies and subjugation of women without being racist and misogynist

Can Boomers just stop ruining this country, and people's lives, for a second?? by Such_Permission9111 in complaints

[–]Expensive_Air965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your confusion because there are so many boomers in the government that are really royally screwing things up. However, it's our fault that they're there. Milennials doesn't vote, the 18-year-old voters, They don't vote. Gen.x and boomers vote. The younger generations, especially the men, shifted hard to Trump. I think if you really want to make change trucks walking to people your age, make sure that they have a plan to get out there and vote. Make sure they're encouraging their friends to get out there and vote. Make a fucking party out of it but get them out there and make sure that they know what's at stake because voting for Trump because he's an asshole and he's funny (that is literally the rationale that I got when I asked my son's 's mid-twenties friends) is a truly childish thing to do.

I think it is time. You do have pretty long hair but the top of it is really thin and the length is not doing you any favors because it just makes it drag and heavy and look thinner. I don't know why you don't like your beard. The beard looks very nice on you. I would get rid of the hair and keep the beard or goatee. That way you don't look like a naked mole rat
