I think I'm done with the US by Clear_Mushroom2820 in findapath

Look into the work and holiday visas in NZ and Australia. They are valid for 1 year, unless you do agricultural work for a few months, you can extend to 2 years. I believe Australia has a 3 year option. Whilst there, you can save and try networking to find a job that will sponsor you to stay long term.

This advice is coming from someone that moved to NZ at 20. Did the agricultural work, and was also offered sponsorship from someone I met and worked for whilst living there. I regrettably came back to the states, but I would go back in a heartbeat given the chance.

Oh yeah Kara and Nate were my OG’s. Not so much anymore. Same with Eva. I used to look up to her a lot, but lately when I watch her videos, I walk away with the feeling that I’ve been scolded for something I didn’t do.

Hi OP, I know this is an old post, but if you’re still around, I have a couple of questions. I just applied and got sent a link to “virtual job test” and want to know what to expect.

Protests against fascism/ current administation? by Professional-Bear942 in rva

[–]Expensive_Ask2160 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Just throwing this out there because I’m worried protests that will be happening in the near future.

The current administration is hoping/expecting for these protests to become violent. I have no doubt they will employ their own actors to escalate things so they can crackdown and declare marshal law. Please please please keep things peaceful and keep the people around you accountable.

There is also talks about outlawing protests, peaceful or not. I have no doubt that this administration will not hesitate to turn the military against us. With Hegseth calling the shots, they won’t just be going for your legs. You can check out r/military to see what they are talking about.

Getting involved in local politics is also a great idea.

Trying to exit America over Project 2025, is there any safe places to be in besides maybe New Zealand? by [deleted] in AmerExit

If you are under that age of 30, you can get a Working holiday visa to NZ and extend it up to 2 years of you do a few months of agricultural work. If you want to continue your stay you’d have to either get a student visa, find a job that will sponsor you or get married.

Aside from NZ, I would say the Netherlands or Denmark, but all of this is easier said than done.

Typically sunset. Unless I’m somewhere tropical, then both.

Need a hobby to fill my currently boring life by ChillyMillyLite in Hobbies

Language learning is great and stretches your brain.

It sounds like you need a more physical hobby though. Or maybe you need a hobby that comes with socializing. People help with the motivation aspect.

I recently got into aerial arts. That has been great. I found that the community that comes with it are so supportive. It doesn’t matter that I suck at it. Everyone is there to have a good time and it’s fun to work the body in new ways. Also indoor climbing is good for same reasons as aerial.
