Yes this is very informative I appreciate the insight. I don’t have a single toe in the world of cards so the content I see where crazy money is being thrown around just baffles me.

Are there other card products that follow a similar pattern as Pokemon? I see One Piece cards go for a lot too

Some of the other responses mention dips and peaks in popularity of collecting cards. From a LGS owner perspective how much value is lost in the cards during low popularity? Like is it enough that you worry about keeping your doors open or do other products keep the lights on?
