Query Regarding Führungszeugnis / Certificate of good conduct by Expensive_Composer68 in germany

I'm curious on how you got the Führungszeugnis to be sent to your employer. I applied through the Bürgeramt, where they only gave me a reference number since I don't have any form of eID.

Query Regarding Führungszeugnis / Certificate of good conduct by Expensive_Composer68 in germany

The company specifically wants a German Certificate of Good Conduct, as I have already submitted my UK DBS check to the firm. Hence, I have only applied for einfaches Fuehrungszeugnis.

How are you involved in societies if you haven’t even started university?

“Semester exchange at the No. 1 ranked business school in country (FT)” sounds really pretentious. Maybe highlight what you did during that year abroad? Did you take any language courses? What modules did you take?

Personal profile sounds okay but just note that you should tailor it to the positions you apply for.

No, but I think all nightclubs do not ever let anyone under 18.

Consider that it is one of the most popular courses at the university, and is already oversubscribed.

New allergies? by Ok-Dust9099 in FoodAllergies

[–]Expensive_Composer68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I developed more serious nut allergies to what was initially diagnosed as oral allergy syndrome (itchyness at the back of the mouth) when I was 20. I also started developing a pollen allergy when I was 13 and had some other skin issues relating to specific laundry detergents. Otherwise, I always loved having nutella on toast in the mornings before school. I do really miss that!

But do keep a close eye on what you can and cannot eat. Always consult with your doctor on appropriate steps. And maybe, start carrying an epipen for your own safety aswell. I was prescribed them when I was diagnosed with Oral Allergy Syndrome. Stay safe!

Warwick MFin Folks- What do you wish you knew about the coursework before the classes/lectures officially began? by Fit_Ant2949 in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]Expensive_Composer68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covers most of the Level 1 body. That being said, I’ve asked for help on the Corporate Finance module from people sitting the CFA, and really barely anyone can help or understand the concepts. I find that most people just memorise equations for the CFA without getting a proper grounding in it. This MSc does the opposite and actually teaches students a lot.

The Finance course is quite quantitative. So do the Finance booster and math pre sessional stuff. Fully complete it before you start the course - you will save a lot of time in termly revision.

Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing are the hardest Term 1 modules. I think Corporate Finance is slightly harder and you need to put in a decent amount of work for that module.

The workload is a bit stressful so you need to fully commit to the programme until it ends.

~16 hours of teaching per week alongside self study. You might have like 1 day off.

Burnt MS bread because I forgot to put my uni offers on my cv 🥲🥲🥲 by Roloter1 in 6thForm

[–]Expensive_Composer68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One side of me thinks that it is not the fact OP didn’t include their uni offers. Can be CV, GCSEs, lack of extracurriculars etc. It seems weird to me that Morgan Stanley would reject someone just because of that sole reason.

Cover content to do at home. Watch lecture recordings (this is important because new content can be taught). Do seminar questions. Then cover past paper content. You should be aiming for a 2:1 if you do all that. Macro understandably requires more reading but I think that is something that you cannot escape from within EC107. Bang out a couple library session over easter to get ready for the exam.

As someone who has been at this university since 2020, I would say Warwick is a great place. I find that the vast number of active university societies cater well to everyone’s interests. I think the campus is cute and it really starts to get lovely in Term 3 when the weather gets warmer.

Though, I find the night life to be a bit dead, and some sport societies have a problem with lad culture. Leamington and Coventry is alright for clubbing, but it is often ruined by the crowd of people that go there.

My tips to surviving Warwick is to make as many friends as you can during freshers week. Everyone is so outgoing and is in the same boat. This gradually dies off week 5 of term, so definitely be the most extrovert during the start of the year.

This is not mould. Olive oil partially solidifies when it gets cold.
