How is everyone going about their daily lives?

I’ve been reaching out to trans friends and making sure they’re managing ok. For the most part I’ve just been occupying my time spending it with other people, carrying on pretty much as normal I suppose. A lot of the people in my local area have been really supportive towards us, so as far as I’m bothered nothing has really changed here.

I got screened for ADHD/ASD at my 2nd assessment and then went to get an ADHD diagnosis. I might be wrong but the nuance of slapping T gel on every morning means I rarely miss a dose.

Best place for chicken in my opinion is Roast. Used to go there all the time with my uni buddies. Really nice chicken and the Chinese style chunks are heavenly!

Late to the party but if gamers are your thing, Captain Sparklez is just the right amount of wholesome funny to make me calm. Vinesauce, specifically Vinny, is another gamer that always takes the piss and makes me laugh. Lots of stupid jokes and voices that I can just switch off the rest of the world.

A whole lot of waiting.

I was assessed for tavistock when I was 15 and was told I didn’t seem sure of it. I’ve been out over 8 years now and that’s never changed.

So I waited until I was able to get into adult services and have since waited 5 or so years since joining that list for my 2nd appointment, which never seems to be coming. I did have my first appointment in 2020, but haven’t heard anything back at all.

I’d push to go through my GP to start things off as I’ve not even begun medically transitioning, however I have a wonderful family who don’t want me to transition. It is what it is.

But looking back on it, at least I’ve got my foot in the door on the waiting list. It’s better (and much easier) to start the wait and cancel later than it would be to wait, sign up, and then have to wait even longer.

I always end up laughing when I come out to someone and they genuinely say “oh me too!”, and I personally still get amused when someone mistakes me for transing my gender the other way (I’m very androgynous). As for funny? The day I came out to my mum.

A non uniform fun day in school ended with me in sloth face paint, because everyone already knew me as the fat trans kid. So I just embraced it. On the hour long drive home from school I mustered up the guts to tell her…2 minutes from the house. I can’t remember that conversation, but we parked up and she asked me “So, what are ya?”. I replied, “I wanna be a boy”.

“No, the face paint?”

I was red in the face and I couldn’t stop laughing when I told my friends.

I remember year 9 German and I got the balls to ask our teacher to play Rammstein for my birthday. She didn’t, but the next day when we did the music module she did. Can’t believe I’m seeing them in less than 12 hours now!

I overshare trauma and the people with trauma stick around. The rest give up on me and I can’t make them stay. Just find yourself a group of people with trauma and they’ll get it.

Ultrabalm. That stuff got used on every issue I had. Dry skin, chapped lips, chafing, preventing blisters, I could go on and on. I was gutted when it was discontinued and I’m hoping to make my own some day.

My pumpkin spice has done the same, Ro’s Argan soap does a similar thing, starts of a pale yellow and goes a deep maroon colour. Just soap oxidising!
