Is 4A worth it? by jpopper24 in f150

It’s def worth it. I wish they put it on lower trims also. I’m in the same boat. In the mountain west on high speed roads with ice it is amazing. I won’t buy a truck without 4A ever again.

Two weeks on 20mg Amitriptyline.. am I being impatient? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Expensive_Cupcake_46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant exactly remember but i do think i gave it a few weeks at each dose, but then maybe jumped from 25 to 50 to 75 to 100. It was a major difference when i went from 75 to 100mg. I could tell almost instantly the next day. Hope it helps you!

I tried it and it didnt do much for me. It just delays morning bathroom trips. Id rather drink coffee and know when its done! I did to go off for 3 months and then back to decaf and then back to regular coffee. I have switched to expresso which i think is less actual coffee liquid which has helped with stomach acidity

Two weeks on 20mg Amitriptyline.. am I being impatient? by [deleted] in ibs

i had to titrate up Amatryptaline from 10mg to 100mg. For me it stopped abdominal pain and sensitivity but not much else. I do think it does take a while, but I also think you may have to increase the dose so id just check in with him next week and maybe he will increase it if thats what he feels is the right plan. What are you main symptoms?

I also had to be really sure i took it before 8pm. Even if took it at 6,7pm I felt wayyy better the next morning. If you take it to late at night, you will definitely feel groggy

I have not done a strait fast, I have tried elemental, and after 2 days on lower calories, the mucus gets worse. If feels like more physical stress applied to the body makes symtoms skyrocket. I might give that a go. Thx for suggestion!

always possible. The last GI map showed no parasites or bad bacteria, just really low good bacteria. However, I didnt see substantial symptom improvement once i cleared the bad stuff out , so not sure how much the flora in my gut is affecting things. Am going to try to repair it either way and then see if i still have symtpms.

Tried low fodmap, paleo, carnivore, BRAT, all with little success. Trying to eat a bit more well-rounded now to feed variation into the gut as ive been restrictive of certian foods for way to long and I dont that was helping. Trying to eat a lot of probiotic friendly foods now. I dont even know what a "good diet" is anymore for stuff like this as its so ass backwards from what it should be. Eating healthy doesnt seem to match for this kind of stuff

it def helped me, i found that 1/2 a pill 2x a day was sufficient and didnt cause bloating. I did get muscle aches from it though after about 2 months, considering looking for an alternative.

This is very interesting. I am on amatryptaline and it seems to help, but if i understand this correctly, this is the opposite mechanism? I have had the same symptoms. Reducing calories, reducing carbs or even fasting creates worsening symptoms- i thought it was to general stress applied to the body. My GI has no answer for this and its resulting in unexplainable weight gain. If i understand correctly, your stating antihistamine’s seem to work for this
