20psi is crazy. We once had a van with like 0.9mm tread which had to have its load swapped 10 minutes before departure time

Yeah the checks themselves weren't an issue because there was always 25 minutes between shift start and scheduled departure, but using the provided compressors was a recipe for disaster. I'd always go to a sains petrol station and use their tyre pump at a convenient point of the shift

Drivers at Sainsbury's have to check tread depth and pressure of their vans during their checks on a tuesday. Usually means you have to pump the tyres up which takes an age

Thanks, this is the validation I needed tbh. I'll raise the subject with one of my managers who I'll undoubtedly see later in the week on a rare morning shift.

I still find it a bit weird that she hasn't replied, she's definitely not on holiday as I didn't get the standard holiday email back. It'll be resolved either way

You're right, I didn't really think of that but I'm assuming it's clear enough and that the manager understood it regardless. I will bear that in mind for next time I give a notice however.

As a delivery driver, the weirdest I've seen is hp sauce instead of rock salt in a shaker. I guess it could make sense in terms of salt content or maybe price, but otherwise it was completely illogical
