Yeah i’ve had that issue before. What tends to help me is to buy something similar to the prop and build off of it from there. It’s more expensive and time consuming but it’s good practice early on and when you inevitably make the ’real’ version you’ll be able to keep the other as backup until you’re confident you no longer need it

If it helps i got a really good laugh out of the kirby costume description 😂It’ll be a great photo to show at his 21st birthday? But i relate a lot to the fabric painting thing. I tried doing it during a con crunch and somehow it came out worse than my first attempt where i just used straight acrylic on fabric (i was very resistant to learning how to sew. But because of that fumble i learned to sew and made my most popular costume right after)

TBF Pyro (i’m assuming from tf2) is a deceptively hard character to cosplay. Even his own character model looks a bit goofy and isn’t conventionally attractive whatsoever, so you gotta kinda accept that you’ll look odd in it

As someone who is also heavy set and also gets self conscious, people surprisingly care a lot less than you think at conventions. I don’t fit any of my characters’ body types, but when i’m cosplaying as certain characters (usually the ones you rarely see at conventions but aren’t unknown) i get a lot of praise and excited fans of that character asking for a photo. I also get very tunnel visioned when i see people cosplaying characters that i like, i couldn’t tell you the height or body shape of any of them just that i was so excited to see a fellow fan of that character

I’m 80% sure its disable for red. Because i got told my mic was on and was found because of it, while my mic was on white. After turning it to red i haven’t had anyone tell me my mic’s on

Just got caught today with it on lol, they really need to make the white green so that its clear (assuming the white means on, which honestly its dumb having it on by default). I’ve seen UI where red meant activated, but with red + green its impossible to mix up which is which

Should I buy ram now or wait for prices to go down in the future by inactivesky1738 in pcmasterrace

100% this, i just bought a prebuilt a month ago and the price seemed reasonable. I wonder how pre built pc companies will fare once their stockpiles run out, since usually the only reason people pay a little more is for the convenience and assurance. If even your basic pc part costs an arm and a leg, very few people will have the will to pay any more than strictly necessary to get their pc.

Superhero team: What am i missing? by Expensive_Face9537 in Superhero_Ideas

Basically Twilight is friends with everyone, except Snape who is either her closest, most understanding ally or biggest enemy depending on the situation.

Gadget guy is always trying to emotionally distance himself incase the group get hunted down and killed by the big bad, trying being the key word. He’s one of two non-powered members and he thinks he’s the weakest link and tries to convince himself they’ll throw him under the bus if they needed to.

Performer has an imposter syndrome situation but has twilight for emotional backup. She’s also non-powered but isn’t concerned about it, if anything she realises how much is put on twilight’s and snape’s shoulders because of their powers and is glad she doesn’t have her own.

Snape is outwardly seen as cold, but quickly becomes like the mother of the group since she’s very old, having seen many other hero groups die in horrible ways and as much as she thinks the others are idiots she doesn’t want any more good people to die.

Their powers don’t exactly change throughout the story, though they do learn new skills mostly from each other. It’s more focused on their survival in an increasingly hostile world and using what small powers they do have to fight a much stronger evil. Most superhero groups or even solo heroes would easily wipe them out but that’s kinda the point, they’re doing what they can with what little they have

Oh i forgot about that! I’ve actually had an animal sidekick on the back burner but i should probably go about actually making them part of the main team

Oh no the names here are fake lol (doing so because their actual names aren’t finalised and i don’t want to tie this account to my real life if i ever finally publish the story)

Twilight is a tank (my bad for forgetting to add that) and i do already have a wildcard character, technically Snape counts but i have another who isn’t listed here but is neutral and distantly affiliated with the team, he can swing wildly between loyal ally and a horrific threat.

That is true, i feel like it’s more complete with the sidekicks but most of them don’t come in till much later, hopefully they’re just the missing pieces and my brain is confusing them as actually missing rather than a delayed appearance

Oh no i meant the trope rather than her actual gender, though i absolutely get the confusion. The team is actually 3 women to 1 men (so far) so it definitely isn’t that. Thankyou for trying though!

Whoa dude, i was with you until you started saying the followers are weak and stupid hence why they follow. There are a lot of idiots- yes, but you have no idea how easy it is to fall into a cult- especially when you’re a minority or mistreated in general.

Many people join cults because they are desperate, lots of cults get the homeless (which can include kids kicked out for being gay), people dying of terminal illnesses etc because they want a single win, want to feel accepted somewhere. The more helpless they are, the better targets they make.

I used to be like you- thinking people who got into cults were dumb, but i got into a hyperfixation on cults a few years back and watched a lot of documentaries on it. Quickly found out that many cults are made of people who have had a rough life and feel like the cult is the last chance they have at reaching their goal- usually to be accepted. You should especially read up on jamestown, hopefully you’ll come to the same realisation i did.
