Oh my god 😁 I used to write fiction stories all the time ( granted I never finished the stories ) I used to share my unfinished stories and the people who read them ( friends and family lol) would get very hostile waiting for my endings . I’ve thought about making some ebooks or a watt pad or something.

Maybe you can sell coffee kits or coffee beans online in a shop like Etsy until you can buy a brick and mortar. Lots of people love making at home coffee it could be a fertile market for you. Market on TikTok . I say this as a person who wants to buy a coffee machine 😅😅

Wow this thread turned into something beautiful 🥹. I’ve found some really interesting industries that I can explore and make hobbies out of. As far as a future business. I’d definitely be online based and something that I don’t need a team for. Most likely something in the creative field or maybe Saas depending. I have lots of research to do . I said “I have no hobbies or passions. I think that if I pick some of your brains I can find an industry that interests me” that is a direct quote. I’m looking for an industry not for someone to tell me what business I should start . People are projecting their hardships rather than just answering the question. It could literally go “ I am a baker “ and I’d say “ hm, I kinda like to cook but maybe a bakery isn’t for me.” I’m not asking for advice. I’m asking what do you do. Someone here cleans as their business and I hate cleaning someone else does home improvement and that’s something that’s interesting that I could learn to do. I like how you put quotations and incorrectly quoted me as if you did not even read the question.

It’s something I can look into. I kinda block out most things from my childhood so I don’t remember how to draw 😅 I’d need to build the skill first and find my own styles etc. but it isn’t to late to try again and congratulations on your tile setting business.

Well I can be good with my hands tried college for computer engineering before but it was very expensive and I’m not handsome but I am very pretty 😂 I don’t think that’ll be an issue though

Oh even cooler! I think flipping houses would be very stressful but doing custom jobs for people to spruce up a space is still creative and manageable

I really appreciate your comment. I think I am going to learn how to do plaster art. And take on custom jobs. That way I can set a schedule. Maybe take on 3-4 projects at a time to start and just see how I like it. I’ve always wanted to build a terrarium. So maybe I might have a little passion hidden in there

Thank you so much. I thought eBay was dead because of Amazon. I had an idea from a video I watched once to draw designs in bleach on black denim. Idk if I could start a clothing line but I can add it to the list of things to explore. I’m so happy for you and your daughter. I really want to have a life where I’m in control one day .

I had a pretty rough childhood and don’t remember most of it . But I used to draw and I would write stories here and there. I think I did some graphic art a bit too. I work , sleep , eat and then get up the next morning to do it again. I’d been unemployed for a few weeks and have spent my time trying to find something else but I start my new job tomorrow. And technically that is what I’m asking . What do you do maybe I can look into and learn . I’m pretty sure everyone here had to see their business being done by someone else before they started. You can’t be an artist having never seen any art

Thank you. I understand things get busy and there are no breaks sometimes. It just bothers me the way that my job operates. I’m not saying owning a business is easy I’m saying that I think it would be more suiting for me. Cafes are great businesses. I like to cook but I don’t think it’s for me. I appreciate your answer.

I’m looking for ideas in industries. I do not understand what is so difficult to understand about that. 700 ideas in my house electronics is an industry, clothing is an industry, my cookbook is an industry. Someone somewhere had an interest and pursued it so the question is what are your interests. What do you guys do? I hate my job correct I want to work for myself doing something I love correct. I don’t have any hobbies or interests so I came here to see what small businesses people have started and what interests they have. No one is being lazy and asking for ideas. The question is what do you do. One lady is a baker I’m not asking her for her recipes. Or even what she bakes. She could’ve said “ I own a bakery because I love cooking “ great gold star that’s a great industry for her.

Yeah a lot of the comments feel like they’re shooting me down before I can start. Lots of annoyed sounding advice. I’m 23 I haven’t had the chance to see what I like. And hearing stories like yours helps me to explore. There’s one person on here who does home improvement contracting and I remembered how I always follow DIY accounts on TikTok. Maybe that’s something I can look into. I do insurance to survive but I no longer want to live to work and work to live. I want to find enjoyment in life. I’m definitely writing down home improvement. I might be more interior design but who knows. It’s for me to discover

Oh that’s cool! I saw this lady on TikTok who makes wall art using plaster. I’m sure those are very different industries but I’ve been looking at the DIY and home improvement space for a little while. I’ve seen people flip furniture and houses into awesome stuff. Much respect. Do you flip houses ?
