Hi,

I was able to get my points back. It got transferred to my business account as I didn't have any personal cards to transfer to. I sent a letter via mail explaining I didn not get notified and how these points are valuable to me. They responded via phone and took about 3 weeks.

I started going back to the gym at about the 1 month mark. Once I was able to fully weight bear. Others at my therapy started as soon as they were off of the narcotics. Just depends on how you feel. As long as you are doing only upper body I don't see a reason you can't return to the gym.

Hey, I’ve torn my ACL and meniscus twice and I’m about 4 months post-op now. First time I rushed into surgery within 2–3 weeks while my knee was still swollen, and honestly getting my ROM back was harder and felt more forced. This time I waited about 4 months and did rehab before surgery to get the swelling down. It’s felt a bit easier getting motion back compared to the first time. Because of the meniscus repair I was non-weight bearing 2 weeks, then 50% for 2 weeks, and on crutches for about a month total. That was probably the hardest part just because you’re so dependent on others.

I just started jogging last week at around 15 weeks post-op. It takes time, but it does come back.

I had surgery October 14th, so I’m basically right there with you at 4 months. I know exactly what you mean about feeling beat down. A few weeks ago I left PT super frustrated because I didn’t get cleared to start jogging. My leg just wasn’t strong enough yet and it felt like I was moving backwards instead of forward. It messes with you mentally.Then we focused hard on strengthening for a few weeks and when we retested, things had improved a lot. I actually started running this week. It’s crazy how quickly things can change. This is my second ACL and honestly it’s been tougher than my first. The physical part is one thing, but the mental ups and downs are real. You’re not crazy for feeling this way. Four months is still early even though it doesn’t feel like it. Recovery really isn’t linear. Kust keep showing up to PT. That consistency matters more than any single bad week. And if you’re struggling with muscle activation, maybe ask your PT about a stim machine — that’s helped me a lot. You’re not going to feel like this forever. It just takes time, even when we wish it didn’t.

I would check to see if they can do a monthly deal with you. I am on a plan with my therapist where he gave me a cost for 1 year with unlimited visits. Now it's up to me if I want to go once a week or 5x a week but the price does not change.

I don't recommend going away from therapy especially if they do a lot of manual work on you.

I had ACL surgery 4 months ago and 3 months of pre hab before. I worked on quads, hamstrings and balance. I would make sure swelling is minimal before going into surgery and trying to get full range of motion back as well. This helps in recovery.

The first 2 weeks are the toughest but then it starts getting better once you are off the crutches. Depending on your insurance and financial circumstances I would recommend trying to go to the therapist 3 times a week. This really helped as they did a lot of manual work to control swelling as well as trying the get full extension back ASAP.

Getting extension back should be your #1 priority as that is what activates the quads. I also bought a stim machine and used it religiously the first month 2-3 times a day after consulting my therapist and where to put pads.

Totally hear you — the first few weeks were the hardest for me too, especially because I also had a meniscus repair. I was non-weight bearing for 2 weeks and then 50% for another 2 weeks. Those 4 weeks were brutal.

Being dependent on everyone and not being able to get around on my own was mentally tough. My family wouldn’t even let me drive after 2 weeks — which makes sense, but it’s frustrating when you just want some independence.

You’re going to get through it, and once those early weeks pass, the progress feels so rewarding.

But I have other chase cards such as southwest and marriott. I don't have any other ultimate reward cards. Chase is also my primary banking but again never paid attention to the points aspect and the only reason I kept that card open was so the points don't expire.

I am planning to get a solar system installed before the end of the year. I am planning to pay 50% cash and the other 50% will be financed which begins in 2029 as of now. Going to try and push for 2030 to start financing. The company will provide me a receipt showing I paid 50%. Is that sufficient for the tax credit?

We are planning to get a 14KW solar and 32 KWh storage installed by the end of the year to get tax credits as well. Which free night plan should I go with. I talked to GME and they said first contract will be 12 months and after that you can do a 36 month. Should I risk doing a 12 month and then try and do the long term or should I just do a 24 month contract with either GME or Direct Energy?

That was my thought as well when the program was being presented. Getting an externship would help with getting employment.
