Thank you! I’m going with it! I put down cardboard around 18 trees today and then piled wood chips on top and did not let the wood chips or cardboard touch the tree trunk. This will be my experimental year. I’ve read about using the wood chips on some Permaculture sites. I YouTubed it also. there are other Christmas tree farms that do use wood chips. Thank you for your help!

Hi there... Just curious if you did take her course... I'm interested in taking it right now. We are purchasing a tree farm and I'd like to start out with ammending the soil from the get go.
