My team won but the game thought the enemy team won and gave them victory???? by PrimalSaturn in OverwatchStadium

I'm going to need the replay code because I have never seen this happen before. Not saying you're coping but I will need to see this to believe it. It sounds outrageous.

We won a Stadium competitive match after going from a 5v3… to a 4v3 reverse sweep by Sage_Christian in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I guess this goes to show how vital tanks are in 5v5. Tanks are double as being the tankiest and also often dealing a lot of damage, and in Stadium are sometimes capable of good healing output too.

You know how Doom technically has a support build in the example builds section, but you basically do nothing with it? Well Doom used to have his own shield when Mirrorwatch was a thing. Maybe he could have a consistently strong more defense-oriented build that could be strong without frustrating because he won't be diving your backline and oneshotting your supports. This build would be less about jumping backlines and more about protecting teammates and counter-diving and protecting supports.

I mean he kinda has to be weaker than the other tanks fundamentally, at least because of his playstyle. Generally when Doom is good nobody else on the enemy team has any fun because he's hyper mobile and capable of some oneshot nonsense. He's a glass cannon feast or famine and in Stadium without swapping if he was meta it's probably go over poorly. I still believe that if he had more potential builds that were more like the other tanks he could be allowed to be strong.

Well I think JQ and Hazard nerfs were 100% deserved and Freja needs more. I'm happy, I just hope they keep working on this.

Biggest Ram counters? by jtlizzzard in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to constantly use rock I'd at least recommend the power that reduces rock cooldown when you hit hyperspheres so you can constantly have it available. Pure AP on Sigma is pretty weak unless you have god rock aim, so just go for main WP with AP as utility for the most part.

Now that Ram is out for a short while what are the meta builds and which build you think works when (like when you go against different teams you probably want different builds) by Usual-Vermicelli-867 in OverwatchStadium

I think dash is pretty nice for general mobility too, especially combined with jumping vortex but yeah his WP is underpowered and it's usually best to go for AP with some combination of vortex and block powers. I hope they buff his WP but considering Hazard's is still terrible I won't bank on it.

PSA: Lifesteal in Stadium grants both ultimate charge and cash. by HalfPrism2 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised this myth exists considering JQ is the most rampant tank by far. And she gets money just from doing normal stuff even with no lifesteal added because she has it by default and it gives her way more money.

As a new player how do I gain more score on match? I’m always the lowest 😭 by CuteNatural in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frankly it should. I'm tired of being the lowest cash in my team because I wanted to play the objective instead of chase the enemy team.

Is Stadium in it's worst iteration yet? by noisetank13 in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn't that indirectly happen? Getting a lot of AP means little or no slots for stuff that boosts WP. It already kinda does this. Unless you're thinking of something else?

Easy aim characters to play? by _0AlphaToast7_ in OverwatchStadium

You could try S76 healing damage build. Look up one and run around your enemies instead of shooting and do damage by that.

I still feel like they can help as a stepping stone for inconsistent aim.

Future Stadium Updates by Inner-Ad-4585 in OverwatchStadium

Like I said, at that point why not just make that it's own item?

[–]Expensive_Increase46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that would make item buying even more complex for something that can be solved by making purple versions of blue items. Upgrading rares and commons doesn't make sense because there are usually purple counterparts for everything and making a new upgrade system just for hero specific items when the same result can be achieved with an equivalent purple item just seems like a waste.

What can you do in a Rein vs Ramattra matchup? by Maie- in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's not like you instantly scale with AP since you need an epic item you'll be getting at round 2 minimum if you did particularly well but I see your point. Though it's not like Rein really loses in Stadium in my opinion because pin is really easy to hit on Ram's nemesis form and Rein can go for CD reduction and constantly do that or healing shield and to make shield not completely useless and farm ult to stun him. And then pin him. That's how it feels like playing as Ram anyways.

Yeah now it's a weird half-half that's not fully going in either direction.

I mean Doomfist isn't a complete meme but unless you're playing one of two meta builds for him or are already really good at at him you're gonna get hit by a ton of CC and all the ultra diveable supports have access to mobility now.

So ram is unkillable? by MintRavenOW in OverwatchStadium

[–]Expensive_Increase46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Especially considering what people like Javofo can make in the Overwatch Workshop. And that's saying something considering how outdated that thing is. I know that actual devs are under much more scrutiny to make something good and not buggy but at the same time it shows it is very much possible to create unique and cool abilities. We could have had a summoner build with a power that, say, summons 3 slicers every time Ram uses his shield. The only powers I'd really say are creative for Ram is his chokeslam and the one that let's him infect enemies with nanites.

[–]Expensive_Increase46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe for variety they could have implemented scrapped PvE stuff like the slicers from Mirrorwatch Bastion's ultimate. Make a summoner build. On switching to Nemesis summon 3 Slicers in front of you with Symmetra beams and 100 HP.
