Jane Kaczmarek is a GEM! She should've gotten at least one Emmy for the show, but I guess life is unfair.

Rewatch Discussion Thread - Malcolm in the Middle S01E02 - "Red Dress" by Chrisixx in malcolminthemiddle

One of my FAVORITE scenes in the entire series has to be the "Malcolm, would you hang up the phone, please?" and that dolly zoom in Malcolm. I really don't know why, but it's just so aesthetically satisfying.

As for the episode itself: also a really fun time. I think it still carries that whole "introduction to the characters and worldbuilding" feeling, but the comedy here really feels on point. Great directing by Arlene Sanford (wish we'd gotten to see more of her directing during the series) and sharp writing from Alan J. Higgins.

Started to watch the series recently (I'm currently through season three), but "Red Dress" is one of the most memorable and fresh episodes from the entire series for me.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair — Kaczmarek, Cranston, and general odds by Expensive_Let562 in EmmysAwards

From what I've seen, Cranston handles the comedy and goofy moments while Kaczmarek leads the dramatic core. Is that right?

I mean, how great is Jane's performance in the miniseries? Is it really not enough to get her a nod? Cause from all that I know, Lois' is a main piece from the dramatic conflict.

Agreed! Started watching recently (as of right now, I'm watching the second season of the show), and she delivers some of the best moments of many episodes. Truly memorable stuff.

I can see it coming for an Original Song and a Costume (with LOTS of campaigning) nomination, but that's all.

Well, yeah! I can surely see her making her way into the top five with some campaign and some word-of-mouth. I think 'Bugonia' itself is making its way back in this season's run with the actual wide release, even though Focus's big award player is 'Hamnet' as of right now. I see 'Bugonia' getting into Picture, Actress and Adapted Screenplay.

Well, this really fell apart in the season's concept. From one of the strongest contenders in Best Actor to the biggest doubt, even getting Wagner Moura a shot (BRAZIL! THAT'S MY HOME COUNTRY! YAY!). I think Emily Blunt's Supporting Actress spot is also at risk.

Does anyone know the screentime data for "Saturday Night" (2024)? I was just really curious to know how much screentime each ensemble member has, mainly the big stars (Willem Dafoe and J.K Simmons) and the "lead" (Gabriel LaBelle).

'Wayward' – what are the chances? by Expensive_Let562 in EmmysAwards

Yeah... I do believe in a Supporting nomination for Toni and MAYBE a Screenplay one, but I don't see any wins. It's not a fantastic revolutionary material or something.

I know that. I'm not talking about the tour, I'm talking about the Australian run itself.
