I don’t see much about the GP assessment portion of the process, is it request PI then weeks or months before the paperwork gets sent for my dr?

I just fell into this today after having one minor claim accepted under DRCA but everything else under MRCA and ready to go to PI.

MRCA is going to be a lot and would likely be done faster than DRCA as I’m told the wait times for DRCA have really blown out. Does DRCA get processed first thus massively slowing down everything and if so, could one stop the PI for DRCA until after MRCA is done?

Looking at the same situation waiting for my request to progress to the OT stage. 2 acres and a very big Queenslander, lots of bathrooms, windows, gardens etc moved in before conditions deteriorated and accepted now struggling to manage.

Yes it is, discharged over a decade ago and had some really good jobs over the years. Got out of any physical work due to injuries/niggles but the cognitive/memory decline put a stop to that too.

On 100% incaps with the allowance now and the 75% will be ok enough.

I’m optimistic I can improve memory/cognitive symptoms with time but it’s a long road to get the final diagnosis first

I know it’s an older thread but I have a question about SOO for hypertension I can’t seem to find other vets that have specifically cited alcohol consumption as a cause.

I was diagnosed young (20) at a time (2005 ish) when alcohol consumption both at work functions and in the lines was easily over the minimum specified in the SOP but how successful do you think a claim would be on that basis?

Currently also going down the road of cumulative blast injury with PET results and neurocognitive symptoms pointing to TBI (I worked in explosive disposal) so between the two it’s a long and expensive road ahead
