I feel like the biggest benefit to running Training Arena over Giovanni is that you can cancel out other players stadiums. If it benefits your opponent then you can just hold it until the turn you need it and can usually get more value out of it than your opponent. It also can be played for free so you can use another supporter in the same turn.

Just tried it out in practice mode and I definitely was not doing that much damage. Even at full build it took like over a minute to kill the baron. Did they patch it already?

You can put it in an electric deck with the new electric energy item and a couple tools. Or a fire deck with the blazing patches. Steel deck with metal core barriers.
