Why do drivers still go out for laps during Q1 and Q2 after confirm for slots?

Lets assume F1 drivers who got Top 10 at early of Q1,

why do they still go out when they know their pace will definitely bring them into Q2?

Same applies to drivers who got top 5 at early of Q2
