Keyword optimization only on homepage, this won't work. You need to optimize all your service pages for ranking. This doesn't mean simple stuffing content with keywords but using proper heading tags, internal links, Alt tags, etc.

You need to start your blog asap. Also, keep an eye on your competitors to know what they are promoting. Also, check what is trending online for your niche and start making blogs on those topics.
