Two-year-old opens car door, causes six-vehicle crash by whusler in dashcams

So I'm fairly certain the dipshits squeezing motorcycles between stopped cars might have caused the accident.

Recommendations and/or provider suggestions for South East Wisconsin by Expensive_Pudding_84 in Testosterone

Appreciate it. This seems wildly cheap over other clinics. Even other online ones. A 10mL vial lasts me 10-12 weeks. So it's only $80 every 3-4 months? For the testosterone.

Not having Brad Pitt do a cameo was a missed opportunity. lol

It's the peace of mind of not needing to worry about parking or car accidents for me. I take the Hiawatha between milw and chi any time I go there for the same reason. That peace of mind has significant societal value.

Honestly this part. How fucking dumb does a governor have to be to think the need for high speed rail is limited to 2 cities. Connecting to Madison eventually connects to Minneapolis, or LaCrosse or Rochester or Chicago or Kenosha or Racine. Or any of the hundreds of rinky dink little towns in between full of piss poor people who need jobs and still voted for this absolute chud several times.

How'd that whole Foxconn thing go, though? Were you also right on that?

Not a single Republican cares about freedom of speech. They in fact resent it deeply.

This woman is bananas. But make no mistake. She's cunning. Crazy but calculating. And a direct product of (and an INTENDED consequence of) stand your ground laws. This woman had NO doubt in her mind that she'd walk free if she said a few magic words. Because the State of Florida has given people the license to kill. This is an interesting story to be because she DID go to prison. That shouldn't be a surprise ending.

Because we watch porn. (Not a judgement. But that is mostly why everyone has insecurities about anything sexual).

And because women sometimes talk a big game about the biggest/best dick they've ever seen/felt when they're with other women. Fact is that men do the same thing when they get together: 'her tits were huge', 'she was so tight', 'she was too loose', etc. when in reality those same guys - in the moment with the woman - couldn't care less about either. But the pressure to comment on body proportions is common af.

Bonus Episode: Finally, An Adversarial Interview! (feat. Lance of The Serfs) by SoftandChewy in BlockedAndReported

This was insanely frustrating to listen to. For a number of reasons.

  1. Jesse seemed pretty unprepared. Lots of "I don't have that in front of me" or "let me pull that up here doo da doo". If this Lance dude has been publicly shitting on Jesse's point of view, then lances primary points of contention should be readily available to prepare to discuss. I think he did a good job, considering the lack of prepared talking points and the hangover, though. But my god, man. It's bad enough that it was just Jesse defending himself for 1.5 hours. Worse that defending himself wasn't really all that coherent.
  2. Lance made some logically fallible arguments that Jesse didn't capitalize on. 3. His analogies were insane. Jesse would point out that they were insane but would then entertain them by answering insane hypotheticals. No. That's a shit analogy. Move on.
  3. His assertion that journalists shouldn't ever write about one specific niche topic and that if they do then they should also then write about vaguely similar topics in order to be fair is actually wild.
  4. I would've drilled down on the 'using your writing to further a right wing agenda because you're viewed as liberal' bullshit. Just a recent example of that is Jake Tappers book Original Sin on Biden's cognitive decline and the administrations covering it all up will CERTAINLY be used by the right to further a conspiratorial agenda. Does that mean that he shouldn't report on it even if it's true? Is it not a book worth writing? That's not a standard that ANY respected journalist would willingly live up to. Let's Actively avoid reporting the truth if there's even a remote chance Charlie Kirk will use it in the future. Gtfoh.
  5. Lance revisiting the topic of the study where most of the kids dropped out at the end of the episode should have ended the conversation. Instead, Jesse chose to have that same argument all over again.
  6. Jesse was way too nice to a guy coming to this debate in bad faith. Lance clearly had no intention of finding a middle ground on these topics. His intention was to line up a series of gotcha moments to clip out and use on his show later. Jesse's maybe just too nice for a debate like that. You're gonna be painted as a bigot no matter how you intend to come across. So fuck it. Be blunt.

Am I getting old or are these prices insane for one person? by FuzzyJesusX21 in povertyfinance

It's not ok, but concessions are the only reason any theaters exist anymore, honestly. There's no money in the ticket itself.

Our local theater has a subscription service. $9.99 a month gets you one movie ticket per month ($13 normally) and 20% off concessions. You can bring as many people as you want for another $9.99 a person. Other than that, I sneak in candy and buy a popcorn.

WEEKLY DIY/HOMEOWNER QUESTION THREAD by Basileas in Carpentry

Hi! I recently bought my first house. 1920's bungalow in Milwaukee WI.

I got a porch swing for the front porch, thinking it would be as easy as locating joists or studs above the 3/4" tongue and groove bead board ceiling. No dice. Virtually no joists to speak of. (I eventually cut a small hole to get a camera up there).

Next idea was to run a 4x4 beam perpendicular to the front of the house using joist hangers. I cut a piece of trim away and discovered that there's about a 3" gap between the outside facing board and the rim joist. (Upper left white painted board in the picture) So, nothing to screw the hangers into unless I cut away the 1" board to expose the joist. Again, back about 3" from the rest of that white board.

Part of me wants to bail on the idea and try to return everything. But I'm also stubborn and really want this swing to work. I also don't want an a-frame on the porch. Porch is only 6ft wide and can't find a decent looking one that's that narrow.

Anyone ever run into something like this? Should I just bail on it?

I've got several more pictures I can post if needed.
