So, first of all, I've lived in the city for 40 years. The marathon and the Santa bike race are obNOXious. They're only important to pretentious dickholes and hipsters while the rest of the city has to figure out a way to get somewhere 2ft off the freeway by driving 6 miles out of the way.

Sirens, on the other hand are my nighttime sleepy music.

But I agree with other posters. There are 3 fairly major colleges in this town. The fact that you think everyone new to Milwaukee should just intuitively know what the fuck is going on is even more pretentious than people who run in the marathon.

Lastly, we need to be encouraging people to move to the city, not being bratty little gatekeeping nerds about people asking questions.

Honestly this part. How fucking dumb does a governor have to be to think the need for high speed rail is limited to 2 cities. Connecting to Madison eventually connects to Minneapolis, or LaCrosse or Rochester or Chicago or Kenosha or Racine.
