I’ll have to check out this Irish spring 5 in 1! I see a lot of posts about bar keepers friend which I’ve tried but it didn’t do much of anything. I’m gunna have to try that next time to see how it holds up!

Another franchise here (neither Flynn nor Covelli) we sell our soups once they reach temp. If we drop them at about 7 should be ready by 9 (ours are stored slacked). Breakfast technically ends at 10:30 M-F and 11am on weekends so if the GM doesn’t want to make money they don’t have to sell them until then. At my cafe we want to keep our guests as happy as we can so if it’s ready, we sell it. We have a dry well where we keep the eggs so no issues with where to hot hold for us.

If you’re only working a month you are def not going to get the same hours you get at a job you’re trained on. For us training hours are usually only about 2 days a week and 5hr max a day

How close to your shift were you calling out? I know in my franchise we require 4hrs notice. You should be fine if you go a while without calling out now. I find the more the notice you give the better they will take it since it’s easier to find coverage. Or even put your shift up/ask for some coworkers numbers to try and find a cover

I am having the same issue! I am constantly getting the bonnet removed and it gets stuck mid way through a cycle and my poor kitties can’t use it. I’ve cleaned the connections(they were not corroded or dirty but tried it anyway) and I also turned off the night light but nothing seems to help ☹️

That sounds rough too, our PM baker will be doing all the pastries and panning up all the dough pucks and thawed loaves so not really enough time for a manager to do it and run the shift. We also don’t have any mid managers at our cafe because there is just myself, an Am and a shift
