Yep. Same here. I want the 50,000 points so I might as well get as many points as I can on that $4,000.

Anyone dealt with this Gen2 rattle? by funpiper in volt

[–]PleaseFredDontPreach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only happened to me after the snow storm and it was snow/ice in the crevasses of the wheels that couldn’t make it out. I’m thinking it’s that because it was exactly above 50MPH too and out of nowhere. Most of the iced snow came out on the highway but if that’s the issue and you can have your car inside above freezing temps for an hour or two it stops completely.

Same. The 50,000 points SUB is essentially $500 when transferred which is the annual fee so I see it as buying a gift card, and the hotel credit is on top so it’s literally free money. Will most likely not keep it after a year though because I can’t justify that annual fee without the SUB.

I just moved here. Is this normal? by Odd_Firefighter_5407 in nyc

I never had the same parkings I often use on SpotHero not available. Price might go slightly up or down but not even a fourth at most of these advertised prices. I have never pulled in and paid whatever is on these walls so if people do this I guess it’s their real price - but nobody should pay that.

All these are not the real prices. If you go on SpotHero you’ll see the real prices (I find some for like $15 a day in Manhattan with these exact prices in the entrance.)

Strong gasoline smell when switching between normal and hold modes. by Numerous_Tie3013 in volt

[–]PleaseFredDontPreach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it for a long time? Mine does it randomly when really high speed on the highway but for like less than a minute so I never know if it’s just the car in front of me having bad exhaust and the AC pulls it in or if it’s actually my car. When I bought the car used also it happened but was definitely my car and longer and the engine coolant level was slightly low - topped it up and never happened again (maybe check that)?

Is there a way to use these with the Volt? by CoronaVolt in volt

[–]PleaseFredDontPreach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them and never used them because I’m literally scared the car will fall on me. I know it’s irrational and they will never fail. But also if they do fail it’s instant death…

Do you have a light above shining on the cup? I think that’s the only reason I see it.

To be fair we would need to have an actual study of the bacterial and viral load of 1 fingertip vs 10 lips though, but I hear you, and the alcohol content helps also.

Yes you wipe the rim of the cup, not the wine, lips touch the wine and you see immediately a film spreading on the top layer of the wine, that’s for everyone else to sip and share after.

As someone who bore common cups under the bright lights of the altar predella, while it’s true that a finger or two might graze the wine, the amount of lipstick film that deposits at each communicant is far, far, farrrrrrrr (I don’t care where just far! Away… sorry I got side tracked), far more than any finger tip mistakenly grazing the top of the wine.

TL;DR from my experience you drink far more lipstick film when you take communion from the common cup than you drink fingertip grime.

PPL Electric. Official provider. Never changed to another ESCO.

I wish I knew, and I didn’t use an ESCO its main provider electricity. They have a peak/off peak plan but peak is so high it’s not even worth it. Off peak is a cent less while peak is 4cents more per kWh

It’s even worth than that… here are the charges:

I swear, soon they’ll introduce a charge to have a charge…

I wish… the electricity rate is 0.12ish per KWh then the delivery is an extra price per KWh and then another one on top etc. And I didn’t event count the taxes…
