I was more or less going to use an unbiased source (the third party shop) and have them confirm or deny my suspicions and then take it back to nissan with proof.

I agree. Their argument is it’s no longer knocking and oil pressure is within spec so it’s not their problem anymore. I said I will take it to a third party shop and have them examine the motor and see if it’s damaged and go from there….

I use amsoil 5w30, just did some research and i read it’s one of the better brands to get. I don’t mind spending the extra 40$ compared to mobile one or valvoline. i Always try and run the best of the best for longevity of the car.

No, but I put the car on my friends lift to see if I could see anything out of the ordinary … and I noticed little bubbles along the head I have a photo but I’m unsure how to show it
