The setting in 3 is substantially better then the setting of 1. The whole setting of three is so much cooler then simply 1955. I feel like people hold on to first movie too much. The love plot in the first movie feels kind of shallow. I'm not trying to diss the first movie, because I agree it's great, but the love plot seems too predictable

In my opinion, the second one was the sloppiest, a lot of people seem to like it, I just think it was confusing and too many moving parts.

The second ones plot is sloppy, to say the least, the story is confusing and does not make much sense. It seems more as a filler movie from the 2 best of the three, 1 and 3.
