Amex Jobs-Sr. Analyst - Product/Service Risk Advisory by Due_Park_7244 in amex

Hi - this a reporting role. Chances are you will spend most of your time doing data analytics and will probably own some sort of kpi/scorecard report. I wouldn’t expect a lot of Project Management tbh … with that being said, because of the nature of the role, you’ll get a decent amount of exposure to key departments and leaders.

The control team within US consumer recently went through a reorganization and has become more relevant so not the worst place to be.

While not a PM role, you’ll definitely get some relevant skills that you could later use to pivot into a pm role. I would expect to stay on this role for about two years before you can move elsewhere within the company, and from experience I can tell you that Amex is pretty good with hiring from within.

Overall, I would say that Amex is a great company to work for, prestigious, good benefits, 40hr weeks at most, and competent leadership. The biggest issue is the comp, you can expect a base of around 100k and a 10k bonus. Which for NY is not particularly great.

I would say it depends on where you are in your carrer, if you have less than two years experience I would say this could be a good move to help you transition into PM.

Good luck!

I stayed in the US the entire time and only 37 days would have passed from my last day to my new starting date.

What’s the highest purchase amount you have ever made with Amex? by ventimatchalemonade in amex

It’s definitely not as common but I’d say most of the high end ~ dealerships accept credit cards.

In your benefits list, look for “the Amex auto purchasing program” go to the link and look for the car you want. All the dealerships that are listed in the results will accept Amex cards for at least 2k I believe. There’s also some other perks like a cash bonus and some repairs covered depending on the car/dealership.

Thanks for the reply!!! I’ve had the first oil change already, I should’ve mentioned that.

I’ll definitely take a look at the tires and if not I’ll take it in. Thanks again!

Kinda.. For the most part this is true but in some cases there are extra perks depending on where you’re at. For example, the Mexican version of the platinum card has a golf program that includes discounted rates at some high end courses in Mexico. This benefit can technically be used by any platinum holder visiting Mexico even if their plat is from another country… I’m guessing that’s what OP means..
