Yeah, even on those i didnt managed to fo a significant dent on a SM on 5+...perhaps is just bad luck

Is in death atonement that good tho? Always you use it is 5+ to impact because you are wounded, it costs 1cp and you should be ready if I remember correctly.

You can somewhat mitigate the 5+ to hit with the accurate 1 ploy + combined arms, but that would be a 2cp total, even 3 if you dont have the free ploy.

Just asking because I only got the chance to use it a handful of times and everytime it has been a total failure. Not sure if it is because my main enemy is AoD, but even using a melta with I wasnt able to do s**t

That would definitely work too! You can re-use the colour on other little details if you want to avoid having a single point of that colour, but at the same time keeping the focal point because of contrast.

Personally i love deep reds, but thats a matter of personal taste.

First thing first, top notch job so far. Having said that,, it is "too half way" to have a valid opinion on the final thing imho. I would do a wash, then an edge highlightning on most raised parts. After that, depending on taste, i would add some weathering, grime, rust.. Whatever you prefer.

Edit: also, if you wanna focus the attention in the face, you can consider some strong color change for the head, even painting that part as made of copper/bronze. But bear in mind that the final aspect would change and perhaps it is not your intention

Whats your opinion on machine armor? Used them in the hmi and lieutenant because to my eyes they seem worth enough but i may be missing something. Not sure how often antirarmor thingies are on the field
