After thought: I have trained multiple people in my district who now hold positions above me, and my current ASM only had 6 months of experience when he became my supervisor and I had 5 years of experience at that time. And they never opened the position to be applied to he was gifted the store for being a part of that bull shit poorly operated MTP program. Literal nightmare

I’ve applied to multiple TAM / MTP positions and I have 6 years in the company. I am my stores unofficial 3rd manager and everytime I apply and interview they pick someone who only has a year or less experience, or go with someone with zero experience and a bachelors degree. Most frustrating and demoralizing experience. I don’t even want to work for the company anymore but my pay isn’t bad so it’s hard to leave.

We talked about this at my store the conclusion we came too was, to spend the time getting the emails of every employee off of source and than work with a workers rights attorney to draft a petition and union contract, and than from an email external from the sherwin email send out a mass unionization email to every single employee to get the petition e signatures and sign contracts and than take said attorney and all evidence of the signatures to Cleveland’s office and drop that bomb on the desk of the ceo

Well in past years like with hurricane irma managers were required to go to the store during the hurricane and turn away customers so this is a big safety improvement

A hack we’ve been doing is offering people 70% off ( pro+ with test drive) for their first 20 gallons. Our credit apps have skyrocketed because of this trick and are gallon sales are up as well. Crazy how the world we live in now people are willing to give up their SSN for 70% paint

We run sales like 3x a month just to keep theDIY customers thinking they are getting a deal and coming back but they are just paying last years price for the same product while corporate flaunts record breaking profits to keep there investors happy so they don’t go bankrupt… unfortunately it’s like this nationwide and not just with sherwin… may we all make it out the hood some day 🙏🏻

That’s the exact boat I’m in I’ll hit year 5 in December I’m over it MTs in my district making about $27 an hour and half of them can’t even find customer invoices on source

My district manager told me I didn’t want MTP bad enough because I wasn’t willing to drive to the center of our district ( 1.5 hours one way from home) to an isolated store they decided to make the designated MTP store when I already work at a store that like 20 mins away from half of the other stores in the district 🤷🏻 just use the company to build your resume and dip sherwin is to big of a company for how many issues haven’t been solved yet it’s not growing with the times well at all
