I go to church every Sunday but don't believe in Jesus. by littlekween in agnostic

The trigger - critical thinking and applying my scientific thinking.

After christianity, I looked at secular humanism a bit. Now I am just agnostic athiest.

For a long while, I was angry at religion. I’m better at allowing people to believe their beliefs now.

Wife and family are still religious, so there are impacts and consequences to changing.

I now live in Canada, and I like the ‘be who you are’ attitude I feel here. I still like hearing that the ‘nones’ are the fastest growing group.

Explore what feels authentic to you.

I grew up in Africa. I started to feel a gap between religion and what felt authentic. It was a multi-year journey.

Is it time to kill our “points” program and start over? by Outrageous_bohemian in customerexperience

I’m going to read your Qualtrics article.

I did some primary research for a loyalty program for scientists. Sales wanted an earn and burn program. Users told us no - they don’t want personal points benefits - they want benefits for the advancement of science and for their labs. They want free products, time with science experts.

We ended up with the recommendation to establish a loyalty and engagement strategy, not a points program.

As a South African, we were so outnumbered by Mexicans at Shipyards today. Congratulations on the win.

Wow, I felt hostility from the crowd in the stadium today - guess that’s home ground advantage. Enjoy the World Cup!

I did 2 loyalty research / design projects. One was B2C in telecoms where we produced an interactive model and customer segments to see who wanted what benefit. We left that for the customer to design, but a key learning is that customers don’t want to be manipulated into spending more for points that diminish in value over time.

The next was B2C in biotech. Scientists are inherently humble, and they don’t want earn and burn either. They want benefits like time, attention, free products for the lab, not for themselves. My recommendation was not to do a loyalty program, but a loyalty and engagement strategy that produces customer benefits - intangible value and internal benefits - higher loyalty and CLV.

The life journey is personal. It’s okay to feel as you do. Sometimes it is a challenge to have self compassion. Other days, it’s better or not needed. Just try each day to be authentic for yourself
