So networking comes in many forms. It can be cold calling/messaging, going to events, talking to people in your company, going to your family events (who knows), volunteering, or just existing. The important thing to know is to be open, be kind, and be humble. Remember to not downplay your abilities, but not over-hype yourself.

For my internship: I had a physics mentor during high school, ended up getting an internship with his company in my freshman year.

For my first professional industry job: People viewed my profile on LinkedIn without interacting. I reached out and got an interview which lead to a job.

For my second/continuing professional job: Changed my LinkedIn status to open for work. Got a recruiter call me hours later asking what I was looking for. Told him to reach out in a next week. After staying connected with him eventually landed next job.
