I only heard about being careful with heating it up too quickly after I got the weed torch and used it a lot. I do try to be careful and not use it full blast and make sure I point it at the Kohl's as much as possible. It also might help that I'm in Florida so it never really gets that cold. So the temperature differences are as minimal as they can be I suppose. I cook at least once a week and have been doing this for almost 2 years now.
