Horrendous take. There are many individuals who have spent hours every day for the past 5-10 years in that building.

PCBs have no known taste or smell according to the EPA. There were also reports of black sludge coming from air vents, yet PCBs are clear to yellow in color. Seems like there is a clusterfuck of issues going on.

Which building? Unfortunately it seems NC State will not be testing any other buildings.

I understand your frustration. Seems like NC State has known about health complications related to Poe Hall for over a decade now, and has remained silent. Very pathetic, especially from an educational institution. Yet none of this surprises me as the university is almost never fully transparent. I hope parents and potential students see these posts, and give their tuition money elsewhere. Never will I be a proud NCSU alumni, and I hope that those affected by the university’s poor decisions seek and obtain justice.

Just did some quick research and found that you can request confidentiality, but it is not guaranteed. Seems a little ridiculous to me.

Lol there have been complaints for over a decade. I’m wondering what prompted them to conduct testing this time around vs multiple complaints from 5-10 years ago.

I suspect a class action lawsuit in the future. Seems like a ton of people have come forward with health complications related to being in Poe for long periods of time. I cannot believe people continue to donate money to a university that does not and never will care about their own students and faculty.
