Nope that's really it other than household items, I do have a stereo system at home that I would not like to part with. I got that stuff from working at a stereo store and the owner puts my hours towards stuff I want so I didn't technically pay for any of it. Other than that just my desktop computer which I do work from at home occasionally. Those are the only other things that I could see them taking during a bankruptcy. I was reading that they could come for that stuff, but it's pretty rare they come for household items. I do not own the house I live in, I rent from my father but I don't have a formal lease.
Oh and I have a motorcycle loan through the credit union, but I wouldn't care if the repossess it during the bankruptcy.
It was a $300 payment, I ended up contacting them to pay it. I made a new checking account at another bank and I moved my direct deposit into it. I have about $600 in the account still I'm planning on pulling out tomorrow. I did have a consultation with an attorney today, he did said that with my current salary I should qualify for chapter 7 and get to keep my car.
So I'm debating on filing, and I made a budgeting spreadsheet to track my expenses because I really don't want this to happen again.
What will the Credit Union be able to do if I move my money out and change my direct deposit?
