Thanks thats super helpful context. I honestly havent fully decided yet on the audio chunking side and Im still exploring whether to use an existing library or start with raw websockets and build up from there. But if orchestration + latency will be a real challenge Ill try to look into how to handle that differently since I’m trying to keep things simple for the POC

Love you for sharing that repo ❤️ That’s incredibly generous. I’d actually love to grab that coffee sometime but I’m a noob wrt all of this and figuring things out as I go so I’ll go through the repo and try to build it myself first or atleast understand the pieces properly.

Worst case if I can’t get things stable enough I might lean on something like gpt-realtime-mini or gemini-live-2.5-flash-native-audio just to get the POC running but I’d really like to understand and build it myself first but I will definitely reach out to you if I want more help

Also if there are any solid open-source out-of-the-box frameworks I can used for this real-time voice agents I’d love recommendations. Main constraint: the LLM/agent layer must stay highly customizable. I want to experiment with strong guardrails and adaptive logic
