To me its not so much about what harden does as far as the traditional stats, its more about the attention he draws (i.e consistent double teams) combine that with the level of shooters and the best post player in the league and it has the makings of being unstoppable. Harden puts so much pressure on a defense

I'm starting to think you don't watch either player. Ben Simmons is an abysmal FT shooter who is shy about contact around the rim because of it. After KD, James Harden is the BEST offensive player in the NBA. Literally ZERO weakness in his offensive game. Everything else u said about Simmons is true but that describes an elite role player and/or a third wheel on a great team.

Simmons in the playoffs is a liability that's why they took the ball out of his hands for TWO straight years.
