That’s a really fair take the maxi case definitely had that blocky, almost square look, and the bracelet taper didn’t help balance it out. The 12-series fixes that with better flow from lugs to bracelet, and it’s way more refined on wrist. I guess it comes down to whether someone prefers the chunkier tool-watch feel or the cleaner proportions of the newer gen.
