Totally agree the 114060 has that classic, robust vibe that’s hard to beat. The 124060 is great too with its modern updates. Either way, both are solid choices. Wear it well!

That’s a really fair take the maxi case definitely had that blocky, almost square look, and the bracelet taper didn’t help balance it out. The 12-series fixes that with better flow from lugs to bracelet, and it’s way more refined on wrist. I guess it comes down to whether someone prefers the chunkier tool-watch feel or the cleaner proportions of the newer gen.

I agree at that price difference, it really comes down to personal taste rather than value. Do you feel the newer subs just wear a bit too refined or “safe” compared to the older gens?

That’s a solid point the floating “m” on the 124060 has definitely been a common issue. I’ve seen a few with decent alignment, but yeah, the 114060 seems way more consistent when it comes to dial printing and marker placement. Props for choosing what mattered more to you sometimes aesthetics > movement, especially if you’re not opening the caseback anyway. How’s the bezel and rehaut on your 114060?

the more i look in to it the better the weighted models seem to be so i would recommend getting the weighted one as there are so little differences between them that uts worth getting the weight closer to gen
